  • I have a qnap. I have had no issues. It runs its own qts OS so no need to figure out what you want to run. Make sure the hardware is x86. Plex runs better on x86.

  • How do you know the cable is damaged? If you have a toner you can hook the generator to the damaged pair and listen along the length of the cable to where the tone changes. It's not as fool-proof as a tester, but much cheaper.

  • You might like the Innkeeper Chronicles by Ilona Andrews. It's a series of 6-9 books but they are good by themselves. Kinda fantasy, kinda sci-fi. The books are short and fun and will keep you entertained. My other favorites are Brandon Sanderson and David Dalglish.

  • I'm from the US and I've never heard of any camper that can be stored on its side. You could try and find a used camper to buy, but why not rent one? https://www.cruiseamerica.com/ rents all sizes. My brother has rented from them. He and his family loved it. No issues with storing or repairs.

  • Thank you for your thoughtfulness on the subject. I'm mainly a lurker around these parts. I agree that defederation should be a last resort and agree that it's not necessary to defederate at this time. Though I do appreciate the ability to block certain instances and users at the user level. Thanks for your dedication and hard work.
