I would point out that while general computer use has gotten easier, doing anything advanced has gotten much harder.

I'm glad my grandma can send memes, but I can't figure out where an app is saving my files because everything is a walled garden!

There are performance issues on old hardware, not budget hardware.

Anyway I'm going to cut them some slack. Like you said, it's only their second generation and we badly need competition in this space, especially at the low end. It's good to have options.

Have you had success with phone chargers? My RPi4 is very picky about power and is unstable on anything but the official power supply.

It's lame how Olestra got such a bad rap. Like, it's an oil that your body doesn't absorb so it doesn't make you fat. It's totally fine in moderation but what do you think happens when you binge eat it??

Do you know of an alternative that allows custom music and sounds? I haven't found anything that works well.

Jeez, were one of the two devices 10 years old? That hasn't been my experience for a long time (except the duplex audio issue. I can't believe it's still terrible.)

Then again, I mostly use BT for the convenience. Being able to do yard work with zero wires is amazing.

I had a similar experience with small doses of Adderall. It would improve my focus, but it left me feeling anxious in the evenings.

What helped in my case was consistency. I took the meds every weekday for a month and slowly the anxiety lessened as my body got used to the meds.
