  • I actually wasn't aware until now that the T14 exists in a touchscreen version, I currently have a T15 and my girlfriend has a T14 and we are both more than satisfied with them. Will definitely look into getting a touch-enabled T14 :-)

  • My countries version of craigslist basically, prices for used Thinkpads/ laptops especially seem pretty cheap here I think? I also just bought a T15 with brand new battery, 32 gigs of RAM, an i7 and a dedicated GPU for 320€.

  • If it's worth the price I would also be down to spend a bit more than 300 - sadly though after checking there are a total of 2 used Framework laptops on sale in my country total - and both are non-touchscreen versions sadly :/

Edit: after having a look at the Framework 12 it seems basically exactly what I'm asking for - apart from the fact that it won't be out for another half a year and the price point of 570€ with an i3 and 0 GB of storage and RAM - I'm guessing I could pick this up used in a couple of years but until then I'm still looking for recommendations ;)

  • In my mind at least this would be solved by the "vault" needing to be decrypted with a password every time notes are accessed/saved with the password acting as the key? I'm not terribly well educated on encryption though.

  • I have been using windows exclusively for 20 years now but just made the switch to Linux (EndeavourOS - an arch distro) 1 week ago and I couldn't be happier!

99% of all applications that I use work just as well (including games) and for the very very few that won't work (like Valorant) I am using a dual boot setup. The reason that I made the switch was that I got anxious with W10 EOL approaching since I would rather stop using windows altogether than using W11.
