  • The logic absolutely makes sense. One is more familiar to an average person and other is less. It's not that hard to grasp lol.

Doesn't make it any less of a double standard. Same with squids which apparently are relatively intelligent and we still eat them but for some reason dolphins are a no-go (are they endangered? Idk.).

  • Haven't watched the third season since the second season was awful. They didn't understand what was working in the first season.

Getting Cavill won't happen and even if it did, that was just one smaller problem compared to the whole show transforming into boring dumb fantasy. Cavill alone can't save the show.

  • Everyone clapping their own backs by helping to write fuck spez in a Reddit game sure is something. Just childish.

I'm thinking about going back, at least as a site to visit between all these new 'reddit-likes', but I'm not going to be yelling like a goddamn child like I'd be above it. Sure, criticism I'll give if warranted but that goes with everything.

  • I'm going to keep this in the back of my mind going forward. With a grain of salt though since I haven't seen this with my own eyes.

But also from the first step I realized it was just privately owned and moderated platform and with that in mind I'm just putting in what I'm willing to loose. It's not mine, even in the sense that a subreddit community could've been presented to be "mine".

On a sidenote, I'm not feeling too good about kbin/Lemmy ATM. Since there are so many instances I'm seeing many reposts, maybe even back-to-back and I can't but my finger on the moderation standards that are set here (not that I've seen anything vile but just... Idunno it's hard to follow since there are so many admins and I don't know where to look).

  • If Tildes is elementary school teacher, kbin/Lemmy is the elementary school class.

Both have a place, one has more noice, but also more content and the other less activity, though pretty worthwhile stuff for what it has.

  • Kinda don't see what the big deal is. Probably best use for "unique" goods. Dunno if they use blockchain because as I've understood it that's just a resource hog.

But selling users unique avatars? Don't see the appeal and they are fugly and seem dumb but like that's so inoffensive nothing burger.
