  • Fishing for coverage for the people who pump and dump their shares after IPO day. Anyone internal with big holdings is going to just unload at first opportunity. This is their desperate attempt to provide coverage for it.

Hope some of the mods I ran into over the years are amongst the schmucks holding the bag with these shares for their first earnings report. It ain't gonna be good.

Fucking reddit, good riddance. Toxic shit hole needs to die, but now this is a golden opportunity for your grandma and her pension fund to be amongst its victims too.

  • It's friggin sad that most fingers are pointing to either side accusing each other of all sorts of shit, when they should be instead pointed towards about 100 people, and a system. The government is just a distraction, and a subterfuge, while the 1% absolutely raids everything else. Trump vs Biden isn't the thing we should be focused on right now. It's the population vs the Corporate West.

  • That's a good point actually. I agree, the whole thing is just bananas. HP is a zombie tech company at this point though. You know that graphic that illustrates the product life cycle? HP products are somewhere down in the subway station on that graph

  • Or even just putting a piece of paper on top of the printer that says, "STOP!! INSTALL THE DRIVERS BEFORE PLUGGING THE PRINTER INTO THE PC"

Surely HP could spend $0.000125 out of their billions of dollars to spare a piece of paper to serve that purpose.

I mean >15% of people will still fuck this up, but at that point, you've done all you can.

  • I'm convinced it'll be like power automate, that can't even automate the most basic of tasks outside of really super specific tasks buried deep within their software.

If Microsoft is good at anything, it's mediocrity.

  • Honestly they can just go ahead and turn off FM8. What a piece of shit that game is. It's so bad. Like how can you literally fuck up a slam dunk that badly? They could have issued a slightly reskinned and updated FM7, and it would have been fine. But no.

GT2 and FM2 (and FM4 I guess too) for the forever win!

  • Let's just keep pretending the government is actually serious about doing something about it, and that this isn't just window dressing from a government and a bureaucracy that's made up of folks with non-arms length ties to Robellus.

If the government was at all serious about consumer protections, they would have, you know, put some actual ones in place. This goes for all parties too, as they are all just as guilty for this as the next.

  • As a Calgarian, it was a joy to watch the Last of Us. After years of stumbling across the sets throughout the city, the anticipation was something else (plus I really love the game). It somehow exceeded all expectations. Bummer about it going to Vancouver for season 2 though #vancouversoft

  • I have a buddy that I grew up with that does penetration testing. Like I live in a city a whole continent away from home, and I run into him here or there, looking like a random smoking a cigarette outside an office tower or whatever. And thats what he's doing, he's on assignment trying to social engineer someone to give him access.

  • Are you kidding me? Aggressive, unstable and destructive seem to be core tenants for the CEOs of many large scale blue chip firms.

If you want actual penetration defense, you absolutely hire the unstable person. I'm not saying you put him or her in the centre desk on the main floor, let him or her work from an environment where they are most comfortable, and one that supports them best.

If you want window dressing, hire the neat and tidy person, who couldn't actually penetrate an Excel sheet.

  • I'm not convinced it's a landslide. I don't think PP is winning the female vote. He's not winning the Toronto vote either, so this is already starting to get pretty murky. You can't lose both and have a bonafide path to majority. So who is going to prop them up, the NDP?

  • That's just it. I mean the Liberals aren't really super appealing either. It would help if Trudeau wasn't an elitist little turd. But oh my God the conservative option, it's just not an option. Unless you are a low key white nationalist, god fearing, system destroyer who actively supports enriching people who aren't of their social economic class.

The irony is also not lost on me, that the most fervent supporters of these new Con hacks, are the very same people that have the most to lose all the social and economic support systems are ripped up. All to be transfered into some richy rich's company in a single source contract deal that wasn't put to tender. But I mean fuck that Trudeau, I'm going trucking!!
