  • I'm afraid all the conventional rules are out the window. I mean when the stakes are becoming what they are, you do what needs done. That doesn't involve going to Congress, writing bills that will never get passed or going before a supreme court where the conclusion is decided before the case even gets underway.

Crying on CNN isn't going to stop what's going on, I know that much for sure.

  • They need to start fighting fire with fire. It's not like the other side is that intelligent in a lot of ways, so trying to fight with logic isn't going to get this done. Start a misinformation campaign like they do or something. Damn glad it ain't my problem, don't get me wrong. But I do see both sides of it, and democratic arrogance is how we are here too, in a lot of ways.

As brain dead as this is, maybe quit running women in must win elections. I ain't saying it's right, or that's fair or just (it shouldn't even be a thing). But it's literally stacking the odds against you in insurmountable fashion. Nothing against Kamala, but if was pretty clear right out of the gates she was going to lose, and they just ignored it.

  • It's time for Democrats to knock this shit off. Oh but the rules, but the rules.

PSA: People that openly flout laws and systems of order, don't give a shit about the rules bud. No wonder they lost. Load of impotent geeks is what they are.

  • My experiences with HW3 and HW4 have been horrifying. I always turn off the FSD trials whenever they push, and the bastards still find a way to enact and screw up my cruise. The car itself is fine, but this FSD shit is a legit scam.

  • It is. It's also melted all our brains though, like some people need to be parented, but I mean the absolute garbage shit. That's morphed from people cleaning that up and the spam, to mods trying to enforce a whole bunch of unwritten rules and arbitrarily deciding what people can post or comment based on their own opinions. Those people are mostly neckbeards too, so that don't help.

  • The great thing with Lemmy though, is you can leave instances. I could get banned into the 6th dimension and I just have to start a different account on a different instance. Often can find whatever kind of sub I'm looking for on different instances too.

The cost of this will be less users but I mean if you can get a couple hundred, that largely eliminates that issue. Lemmy will keep getting bigger, we'll have to deal with the nutsack mods at some point, but there's no big daddy reddit for them to hide behind here. They are on their own.

  • It's pretty wack. I'm just hoping Lemmy flares up again, like it's so heartening to see it taking off, but at the same time it's a bit disheartening to see a lot of threads with only like 2-3 comments.

I just have to teach myself to not comment on reddit anymore, or interact with anything there. Eventually hopefully never return.

  • I think we've all suffered through a mod lecture or two. Nothing I love more than being lectured by people that are just absolute wastes of resources. There are starving children in the world, yet someone insists on keeping the insufferable and miserable mods of our cities subreddit fed and housed.

  • It's the mods that are killing it. Absolute 1 dimensional neckbeard thinking, and the bots. I mean who the fuck in their right mind volunteers to work for a multi billion dollar tech company, right? Absolute neck beard degenerates, that's who.

Modding probably sucks ass, don't get me wrong, but expel your efforts on modding something like a Lemmy instance, where it's for good and not just efforts that go to buying another yacht for some billionaire laughing all the way to the bank
