  • I dont know how effective this sensor is, but if its as good as they want people to believe then a number of "unicorn chasing" mods like filament width/diameter sensors, or just tuning of pa and extrusion multiplier at all could become unnecessary. I don't have any bambu printers, let alone models with the sensor, so I don't actually know how good it is.

Currently I waste a chunk of time and maybe a buck of filament per roll on extrusion multiplier calibration. width sensors can mitigate it well enough most of the time but they all have the same limitation of oval sections being possible to read two ways. A nozzle pressure sensor would also be the ideal companion to a pellet extruder.

If I didn't have to dedicate most of my waking life to my shitty job to stay alive, I'd probably be buying a bunch of parts and giving money to pcbway or jlcpcb and making a bunch of shitty failures of trying to replicate the functionality.

  • I'm glad that design has been seeing development. My next build I'm probably going to be voron based but instead of aluminum extrusion bolted together it will be welded steel. I need to way more weld mileage to get my money's worth from the welder and the aluminum beams are weirdly expensive

  • this is the one that makes the story of the whole franchise easy to understand for anyone right?

edit: tl;dw so I can reduce my useless post count and I feel bad if anyone that could benefit from this project ignores it: it's a quality of life mod for the pc version and it doesn't make the story make sense but makes the game a lot more bearable for those going to slog through it anyway.

  • its 16, or was when I was 16, here in canada, but I didnt get mine until I kinda had no choice at 21 when the only worthwhile work was far away. If we had the infrastructure to do it safely I totally would have just biked, but it was a long haul highway with rockslide cliff on the right, deep salt water and rocks on the left with no median or separator and barely even a shoulder before the ditch.

  • I had one room in my old house where the line wasnt stapled to the framing and was able to bind them together and pull it through at the other end. the rest were stapled

current house I can run them through the attic and down the inside of the walls but the attic is full of rat shit and I can't motivate myself even with hazmat suit.

  • for lemmy I had to try 3 times before landing on this one. just toxic shit constantly pumped my way where I was blocking pretty much everything and still getting more. I still have tons of stuff blocked though.

  • the main reason the ereader works for me is the ability to override pretty much every aspect of the text. I can do most non glossy paper and text but some books and especially textbooks are a real bitch and everyone thought I was just making shit up when I was in school. text size is usually ok but I tend to make it bigger so I dont need glasses
