  • Masculinity is... Inhuman? Cool

  • I have a window in mine. It's great, I can see when something's not cleaning right and I fix it. Saves on redos.

  • They're getting bugs and keeping em in matchboxes, making them get on sticks and fight each other like Pokémon. It's brutal out there man, kids these days are tougher than us

  • Oh goddddd the dad thinks his kid needs to chase hotter dudessss I'm gonna die

  • How could you forget something that has been happening continuously our whole lives

  • Interesting. I wonder if Seattle Cinerama was part of that at the time? The film did have a great visual appeal, but the script definitely fell short.

  • Yeah I'll have one Nakatomi Plaza with fries...

You don't have that on the menu? It's just a ham geruber, but you lie about the mustard being German.

  • Unless you're seeing films at some kind of cinema revival, nobody does reels anymore. You saw the reel Dunkirk, so to speak.

  • Didn't one of the new movies have a whole thing about the mil-industrial complex?

Unless otherwise specified, my assumption is that laborers working for oligarchs made the tech

  • I looked at it and felt like it was so specific that if you'd ever met me you'd know who had written it. Beyond that there was no value in sharing, so it wasn't worth the chance of being recognised.

  • That's the softest. Just the weakest. Disreputably fragile. The secondhand shame is radioactive, I need iodine. I can't even cringe because my face went numb.

  • It's been years since I saw a burning cop car, I'm fucking irritated

  • It's a peaceful existence

  • People aren't in the habit of thinking of computing as an inherently a political choice, but it is.

Computing is a tool, not a thing you merely consume or use for consumption. Yet the tech industry is very motivated to get us thinking of it that way, while positioning themselves as the middlemen. That's probably the real reason they're so excited about AI, it's a way to turn computing into something you rent.

  • That's hilarious, I felt weird not saying more. However it's not quite 7 am and I'm rather hungover, so a comparatively lightweight read was just what the doctor ordered

  • A fun writing exercise. I won't be posting what I wrote for privacy reasons, but just saying thanks for the nudge I needed to introspect after a really weird week.

  • Thanks as always, what a pleasure
