  • If you're the editor of "The Onion" what do you publish when this is reality?

  • And if people's healthcare isn't tied to their jobs there would be more people willing to start their own business increasing the chance of competition.

  • Is there a way to actually thank these justices for doing their job? Seems to me that all these people get is the shit and not much thanks.

  • BAH!! Real developers only use '1' and '0' anything else and you're just some casual normie.

  • This sounds like the start of immigration reform. The big problem with that is, if there is immigration reform how do the politicians scare people into voting for them?

There is this toxic idea in national politics that if you fix a big problem you are undercutting your strategy for reelection because you don't have a scare tactic.

Results are boring, fear drives engagement.

  • I keep posting this article because I'm tired of hearing this statement as an excuse why we can't do things for the American people.

If it is something that the leaders want they seem to always find the money.

  • mynoise.net .

I use it for background when I need to concentrate.

  • to buy a tool you know you already own but you can’t find right now

That's how I find the first tool.

It's like a sacrifice of my time and money to the tool gods to show how invested I am in dealing with this problem on my own. They reward me with giving me back my old "lost" tool.

  • I really feel that nothing is changing because the people that have been in power for many decades set up a system the works really really well for them. Not you, not me but them.

So why would they change that?

  • sci-hub should help get you that paper

  • I wish what you said was true, But I think he knows exactly what a dictator is and craves the power that they have.

  • Yes. Corporate welfare is good for the country, human welfare is bad. /s

  • I started listening to Alan Watts while I find the topics really cool, his voice just puts me to sleep.

  • I decided a few years back to give experiences not things.

The way I do that is with a $100-ish gift card to an airline. This way they can use it to go somewhere and make a memory.

  • They of course use these 2% to justify vilifying the rest though.

This is the method that is used to justify cutting welfare benefits for poor people.

  • Brush your teeth twice a day. Floss daily

Go for a 20 minute walk a few times a week

    Don't have a pet

Prevention is much cheaper than dentists and doctors in America

Pets are amazing but if you're searching the couch for extra change for a meal they don't need to be in your life.

  • Not taking away from the doctor and their experience and knowledge but fuck do nurses get the short end of the stick.

They do 95% of the work and rarely get the credit (or pay) they deserve.

  • The one thing that has gotten me to read more is the price increase in streaming services along with a decrease in shows that I find interesting.

All that extra time I would be trying to find a show I now just open a book and read. So thank you Netfilx, et. al. for your greed has reintroduced books into my life.
