  • Its a double-edged sword. There is a ton of use in something like "help me display the data in this excel workbook for a presentation" but the tradeoff is that data is now indexed in the recall database along with everything else you do.

Ultimately, using recall is a security concern that massively outweighs any benefits it offers, but to say it offers no benefit at all is incorrect.

  • I disagree about TotK being a bad sequel, but I 100% agree that it should have been a new franchise. TotK returned to the same map, but with a twist and a whole new set of tools to explore with, plus 2 new massive areas.

You're spot on with Echoes of Wisdom though. It's hard to avoid using beds and water blocks as the solution to every movement puzzle and it's hard to avoid just using whatever Lv3 mob you have as a solution to all the combat.

  • This is generally bad advice without some caveats.

It should be more like "learn when you should ask for help with something". Which is to say, when you get into a jam, don't immediately find someone to try and get you out of it. Do your own research into the problem first, then ask for help if you hit a block. Also, when someone helps you, try to understand everything they did so that you wont need to ask for help the next time it happens.

  • the burden is forced on Americans to prove that Muhammed is a terrorist or Jose is a criminal, and if we can't, we must let them in.

Yes. That's how it should be. You can't just decide someone is a criminal without evidence.

  • They weren't even asking for that much, it's pretty ridiculous that Canada Post leadership fought this hard to prevent people that have been there 28 years or more 2 extra weeks of vacation.

  • You're not wrong, but ABC is definitely not trying to fight tyranny. They're a corporation with the sole goal of making money. This has been true of basically any US media company since the Reagan administration.

ABC is looking to literally buy some goodwill so that they can continue to make money after Trump's term.

  • Was the case winnable? Yeah, almost certainly.

Would the upcoming administration try to get revenge after losing a high profile case like this? Also almost certain.

ABCs bean counters realized that $15M as a donation would be cheaper than trying to fight the government constantly over the next 4 years.

    You voted for this.

  • I would seriously question why I had views that no other person shared.

It's one thing to have a minority opinion, but if literally no one else shares that view, then I'm almost certainly wrong and should rethink things.

  • Protonmail is definitely more private than google or Microsoft, but you shouldn't hold 100% trust in any provider. Ultimately your data is still on their hardware and they have control of it. Also, as others have pointed out, both sides need to be secure otherwise all that data is accessible on the other side.

You can mitigate it yourself a bit by hosting your own email server, but I highly recommend against that as its a massive headache to secure and basically every provider will reject your messages anyway.
