  • I been playing a lot of ps1 emulation.. ngl that shit hits different

  • the thing is 0 and o are right next to each other on the kb so its not actually as crazy of a typo as it might look

  • An astounding number of people seemingly have no ability to do critical thinking

My feeling on the issue is that for a lot of people this sort of thinking is just not needed, at least not on the level to do actual academic research. I don't think its inherent to who they are but just a reflection of the skills they have needed to develop throughout their lives. There is no pressure to develop a rigorous scrutiny of information if there is no consequences to getting the wrong answer. They can survive and thrive well without it. None of their peers are checking them. They might even do better without those skills, more resources to use developing the skills that matter to their lives.

A person who pursues stem as a career has something to lose if they get the wrong answer. Or other areas like journalism ect, I don't want to imply its only stem people.

    just my 2c

  • Effexor has some awful side effects. I have seen people complain about brain zaps but I didn't get them. For me I kept getting this weird lagging feeling in my body, like my perception of my limbs was lagging behind where they were in this very weird feeling way. Its very hard to explain but it was very uncomfortable feeling, every movement of my head was accompanied with this weird feeling. After I quit the drug the issue persisted for months after, it was legit fucked I was scared it would never go away but eventually it did.

Also effexor triggered multiple manic episodes where I was hearing voices and didn't sleep for a week. Like legit psychosis. I haven't had any episodes that bad before taking effexor and none since I quit it as well. I can honestly say it made my mental health issues infinitely worse, shit is a demon drug. TBH I don't fuck with psych drugs anymore because of my experience with effexor.

  • I mean it only looks bad if you believe in endless growth. It cost some money to make and it made it all back, all the employees were paid for their time. I see no problem.

  • I duno about any that work, but if a dr offers you effexor tell them hell fucking no. Everyone I have talked to about it agrees its fucking absolutely awful. Worst drug I have ever taken.

  • I am not sure if you are being genuine or not (chat?) but in case you are the phrase is not asking if something is literally real. It's a way to express surprise at a situation "wow this thing is really happening".

  • That's an oddly transphobic/intersexphobic way to express a criticism of semicolons...

  • My 2c is that if the majority of people are confused about the purpose of a punctuation mark or language feature in general, then that feature is not actually fulfilling a useful function. If it was actually useful then people wouldn't be confused, they would just be using it. People would learn it organically and not need it to be explained.

That example sentence would function exactly the same if it was separated by a period, nothing is gained by using a semicolon. No new information is added, you are just going to make people wonder why there is a semicolon there making the sentence less comprehensible.

Its sorta related to the prescriptivism vs descriptivism distinction.

  • Did he make bedbugs and angler fish in his image?

  • common mistake

  • I find that connection hilarious cus Jazza is way more popular and talented with true artistic ability, where shad is an anti-woke dipshit who gets mad at the mario movie and plays with swords.

  • Some people don't want to financially support creators who on record have said things like homosexuality is wrong and should not be encouraged. Watching youtube videos is financial support.
