I miss the gifts, and would love a kB that I can swap to in order to add a gif.

What I miss most is emoji search and recommendation. There's so many that I can never find the one I want when scrolling though each page.

Ive seen sponsor block for YTb added to a few different playes. It sesms it operates moren like a DB that other clients can hook into. So OPs idea wouldn't need to be a new podcast player exactly.

I'm sure OP knows this. Its likely they want to see the middle of a vendiagram: People that use Lemmy and also watch short form videos.

Try DW news. I've found it fantastic. Also just as good for written news.

What are the additions over the original of the fork? I know the original is no longer developed / rarely developed.

Pretty good suggestions. Insiders titles are so clockbait but I've seen a few before and they are good.

Taskmaster is an awesome show. But it's just a normal TV show with many clips on YouTube.

As much as I love space time, I would very much say it's a video essay. one dude cutting to graphics and overlays.

I'd not imagine that on TV.

The verification still needs one of the devices listed in my post to be active on your wifi to allow the setup and communication.

The auth is likely done by device to device handshake. Its just that there isn't a human involved.

Don't get me wrong I hate Amazon as much as anyone and would never have one of their devices in my home.

But most of the other posts in this thread are missing the technical aspect of the question.

Its a personal free outliok account. So not really sure. It wouldnt be exchange or POP. I guess it's O365 authed and however the phone sets it up.

Just to thow in the mix. I think QKSMS is dead, or atleast rarely updated.

I still use QKSMS coz I CBF migrating till i get a new phone.

I like Dreamy for a screensaver.

Mouse toggle if you need a mouse and want to use the remote.

Xmanager for file management. I can't remember why but it's the only one that can open zip or something like that.

Idk. Its a pretty popular battery app. I can only assume.
