I don't mind supporting the developer. He can't rely on tens of thousands of user to buy the app for $1 each on lemmy like he could on reddit. It's going to be more expensive per user here.

There's just nothing that comes even close to Sync for me. Happy to support the developer.

For some reason, Samsung is also behind competitor, like Oppo, on making the crease disappear. It's still very noticable on the Flip 5 and Fold 5. I'll hold off to see how that plays out.

Sounds like you didn't actually try the app. It's super fast and smooth. Lots of customization, great UI. I happily pay for that effort.

Sync will surely make the lemmy ecosystem more attractive and bring in a ton more people, which is a great thing for everyone here whether you use the app or not.

The crease on Oppo's flip is almost gone. A much better job than Samsung on that. I'll wait for the next gen.

Absolutely. Lemmy had a very different feel than reddit up until Sync was released. Now I can barely tell the difference.

I bought it. I want to support LJ. He's doing a great job and really got shafted by reddit.

I believe the developer is working on a one-time payment Pro version that removes ads. Ultra has additional features for a subscription fee.

Nah. If the choice is between Biden and Trump (or any other Republican for that matter), I'll vote for Biden 100 times out of 100. And happily so.

I'd love to see younger candidates, for sure. That being said, I'll happily vote Biden again any day of the week given that the alternative is a Republican and likely Trump. Not an option in my world.

The electoral system is built to favor small-population states. Since most of those states are deep red, Republicans have a massive systemic advantage. That's how they stay competitive. Democrats have won the popular vote eight times out of the last seven out of eight straight presidential elections. Biden will most likely win the popular vote again, but the electoral count may say something different.

Politically, I think Biden is doing a great job, tbh. He has accomplished a ton, especially in the first two years. I'm not a huge fan or anything, but I'd still vote for him again any day of the week, because the alternative is just not an option in my world.
