Dude, getting caught in the rain without an umbrella = deal with it. Pretending there's not still a pandemic is foolish.

This is a novel virus and we already suspect it's fucking with people's brains and hearts in ways we can't detect. We have no idea what "long Covid" is really doing to people yet. For example, if you get chicken pox as a kid, you may get shingles as an adult.

Floridiot here, thanks for the succinct explanation. There's definitely more at play here than just climate change and (lack of) policy. We recently passed legislation to resolve the frivolous lawsuits but it only went into effect recently and as you can imagine, there was a massive influx of suits filed right before the deadline. It will take years or more to sort them all out so insurers are just like fuck Florida then, we're out.

People have been hurt already. And to try to avoid the razor wire, people are moving into deeper more dangerous parts of the river. This also puts border patrol and other first responders at risk as well.

It's way, way worse than a waste of materials.
