That's how it worked in Windows 10 and possibly early versions of 11 but as far as I know (not a Windiws user so take it with a grain of salt) that's no longer the case and they even patched some of the workaroundssoo you have to find a current one

I think it's still technically possible with some workaround but they indeed kind of killed offline accounts with Windows 11

This might be a little controvercial in american politics community (not so much under europeans but even here it kind of is) but there is no right way to be proud of the place you are born in! You can be proud of partular parts of your system, your society or similar but not the location, that's always fucking stupid!

It's not about the bell, with it Youtube also introduction the algorythm to the subscription feed and essentially made some videos not show up consistantly anymore if I am not totally wrong (it's been a while and I was a lot younger back then)

It's a image format with extremely good compression that's tiny doesn't look bad. As someone who had shitty internet for years I definitely welcome them but as usual with Googles inventions they push it on to everyone and let other browsers catch up.

Well, if you look at Mastodpns history they definitely tried but servers like Gab shut down the Federation eventually because they where almoat entirely isolated really quick and efficiently by basically all other instances. I think those things have a lasting effect and could definitely be part of the reason.

They also where the first to approve the Microsoft/Activision merge tho so it's better than in America but often very hit or miss too! :/

I usually use UBlock Origin, Privacy Badger, Dark Reader, Firefox Containers, Privacy Redirect, Bitwarden and Decentraleyes but idk if I would recommend using that many. Addons have a lot of access to your private data by desing (they modify websites and requests) so it's very important to keep an eye on the installed ones and organizations or indivituals behind them! My personal wakeup moment was the sale of Nano Adblocker where the buyer pushed an update with questionable code, that had a good reputation and definitely wasn't some noname one so bad stuff can happen quicker than you might expect!

You can look up dark patterns and compare the two based on that if you want, that would be very interesting!
