  • If I ask copilot to help write a power automate script or similar, I guarantee it will not work. It won't make sense. And if I do it from within power automate, it wants to replace what I already have there. It's a mess.

If I pull up chatgot on my phone (because it's blacklisted at work) I will get very clear, step by step instructions that are usually good enough or occasionally not correct but close enough that I can tweak it back on course.

  • While my kids are watching Disney+, if there is a wifi blip the stream gets messed up. The video starts going into a fast forward type mode and the audio disappears. That's when I hear my kid yell from the other room "there's no words again!"

Never have those issues streaming from my jellyfin server.

  • Always a good sign when, in a promo shot for a watch, I'm having trouble reading what time it is.

I'm sure lthe iquid glass watch face is completely optional but damn, when I glance at my wrist I just want the time to be simple and obvious.

  • Late to the party but I'm in the same boat. I used these for my porch and lights ousted the garage. They're reliable and have help up in heat and cold weather for a year now without issue.

I have my porch light turn on at dusk to a dim white level. When I get home or of the doorbell detects motion, it comes on full brightness. The garage lights switch to holiday colors for things like Halloween and Christmas time.

Overall, they've been great to use and were much less expensive than hue. I can't speak for how good the white temperatures are since they're just outdoor bulbs for me and in not reading a book on my porch or anything.

  • I think it looked great. More variety, bigger races, a world to play around in, etc those are all winning ideas from where I'm sitting. Adding something like wall jumps fits in the Mario universe and could add some interesting skips on courses and things. I was very excited after that trailer.

Of course now that pricing has been revealed, all of that excitement has been sucked out of the room for me. I've got a Steam Deck in the mail right now and that's probably going to be it for me this next gen. Metroid 4 for the OG Switch might be my last Nintendo purchase

  • They're not the only company pulling this but at least they put up the disclaimer. I got a "free delivery offer" on another app a few weeks ago. Logged in, made my order, noticed it was higher than when I order pickup on my way home from work. Look closer, and sure enough, there's no delivery fee but all the item prices were higher. It's bait and switch and should be illegal.

  • Not that I think anything in the Bible can be taken at face value, but especially numbers and doubly so, the number 7.

World created in 7 days. Forgive others 7 times or 70*7. Etc etc. There's no reason to believe the law of the land was literally a 7 year limit on slavery.

  • I get it. I would still rather it just apply to gas guzzlers. Let electrics get a foot hold. To get vehicles off the road let's embrace work from home policies again, instead of forcing everyone to commute in traffic.

  • Car culture does suck and ideally we could move towards urban areas being much less car dependent. I think we agree there.

Increasing the cost of new vehicles, which are already too high is only going to incentive keeping cars that produce comparatively more emissions on the road. We should be incentizing replacing old gas cars with newer electric vehicles while also working on public transportation and walkable areas where possible.
