  • They probably think they're s clever. "Silly Jews, you think you've got such a good deal with all this free money but wait until the magic sky man comes and murders every one of you in cold blood because that's what somebody who claims to love people does, murders billions of them, and you're first! Ha ha. Silly magic sky man, doesn't even know about all the loopholes."

  • I'd argue that YouTube actually makes the Internet less useful overall.

Whereas once upon a time I could find information in text form NKW EVERYTHING IS A FUCKING VIDEO. ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME!? WHO IN THEIR RIGHT FUCKING MIND WANT TO FOLLOW ALONG WITH SOMETHING HAVING TO MASH THR LAUSE BUTTON AND REWIND THR VIDEO EVERY FOR[Y FUCJING SECONDS? JUST FUCKING STOP IT. AND IF ITSCOMPULSIVE DO THE RRST OF THE WORLD A FAVOUR AND TAKE A LOJG WALK OFF IF A SHORT PIER.

  • I couldn't imagine signing into YouTube. Or really watching YouTube for any extended period

For me it's exclusively something I sit through while infuriatsd that I'm having to watch a fucking video instead of reading a writeup on it.

Seriously. Do you people actually enjoy having to hit the fucking pause button and clicking back 9000 times? What the fuck.

  • Search is broken. It's been getting worse year over year and Google / Bing and all the various offshoots that are JUST GOOGLE AND BING (this isn't a fucking secret, people. You can slap whatever algo you want over Google / bing and it's still fucking Google and bing. And a jolly go duck duck fucK yourself to the lot of them).

I pay $10/month for kagi. Its worth it.

  • I've been linuxing for about a year and a half now and have tried Manjaro, mint, Ubuntu, Kali. And fedora. I could not for the life of me get my graphics card working with it. So I moved on. Ubuntu ran like hot ass which lead to mint. Which just kind of did what it should. Manjaro was a g=st way to dio my toe into arch l, and I use it as a backup os on a spare ssd. Kali is occasionally useful when I want to do some digging or broaden my knowledge on infosec.

I guess my point is that there isn't really one flavour that does it all. For me anyway, there's just kind of a handful of daily driver candidates and ones for specific use cases. \ete I tk get back into gaming id imagine pop os would appeal.

And the average consume would probably rather have a piping hot ramen enema then learn or tinker with any of the above. Command lines are intimidating and most people will give up as soon as they see one.

  • Yeah okay.

My hardware knowledge is limited to ruining many sets of alligator chips trying to dump a virus from an infected UEFI/rewrite the chip so that I'd have a usable motherboard and a nasty virus to poke and prod at.

I guess I've always managed to set an esxi server to route internet traffic through a PC so my IPS can get at it and drop the bad stuff. Still trying to figure out the SIEM piece.

And smart lights / plugs. Many, many many of those.

I've got a decade of experience as an AE in a very techy field though.

If it's a choice between me and a homeless guy then I'm definitely the guy.

  • I thought nothing actually crossed the event horizon and was essentially frozen approaching a complete stop in time in a kind of 2f representation of 3d reality until it slowly leaked out trillions of years later as hawking radiation?

  • Prescriptive vs. descriptive grammar.

Descriptive grammar describes language, and tries to understand the structure and usage of words and sentences. Prescriptive grammar dictates how it should be used.

  • I love the idea of kde. I want everything and the kitchen sink thrown at me. I love all the kids applications. It looks pretty.

My issue is the overhead. It's slow and clunky. And it uses too much vram which is not ideal while I'm stable diffusioning.

Also bugs. I feel like it's so close to what I want but just can't land it.
