Mainly just for fun, usually do it when I'm watching over my nephew. He just turned 10 and loves the Nintendo games, and I'm just an avid retro collector who likes to somewhat "teach" / keep the history of the retro games. He can't get enough of "how different everything looked back then".
Maybe I should do some documentation and share the differences some place! Thanks for pointing me at the snap community btw 😀.
Been doing a side by side thing where I play my n64 games then play the equivalents or remakes of them on the switch. Think this weekend will involve some pokemon snap and new pokemon snap action.
For real dude, there's no decent sized mid sized pickups anymore. I drove my '99 dodge Dakota forever and loved the size! It even had a V8 compared to most of the newer land yachts with 4 bangers and v6s.
I don't need a block on wheels, I just need a smaller pickup because I camp and haul shit enough to justify needing one vs a car or suv.
I'd like to see a dock with proper 4k output and scaling. Some of the older switch titles kinda looking strange on larger format TVs. But I guess the main point of the switch is the portability aspect.
Check out World Chase Tag league. Pretty cool to watch.
I think a pro hide and seek would be fun to watch, imagine how intense it would be when a seeker is close to a hider, watching the hider try and remain calm to not be found haha.
Holy crapoli, I've tried other peoples heels briefly a few times. I have no idea how people even walk in them let alone log roll in them! That sounds like some great entertainment tbh.
Or imagine one of those lumberjack competitions where they scale the trees and top them.
Hopefully we see some more Sat based comms being implimented soon from Canadian sources. Sasktel (crown Corp major ISP in SK) has done a decent job getting mobile network access available in rural areas. But as soon as you head anywhere north of La Ronge you're shit outta luck without satellite.
Would love to build a retirement home up near Besnard, but a fast stable internet connections kinda requirement for me haha.
Just wondering because I don't buy hardware I don't need so I'm still using a Note 10+. Not defending a corporation at all here just genuinely want to better my choices as a consumer:
Besides the removable Samsung branded apps that I was able to just remove, have they started adding addtional bloatware with messures to restrict removal in the more recent device categories?
See a lot of bloatware being mentioned, but noones pointing to specifics. Sorry to pick your comment to reply to, seeing theres plenty. Hoping other people can chime in as well.
With most stuff being pushed to cloud based operations, it's possible. Backends still going to be all Linux and Windows Server.
If anything this might open up freedom of choice more for the end users. But I highly doubt corpos in charge would go that route. Most will just pick the cheaper option or the option that makes then look cool/is FotM.
As far as the posts relation to Apple being majority of the market for mobile devices... that's just false lol.
Also the dudes kinda heavily invested in Jamf, a management suit for Apple devices, kinda a bit biased there.
As a sysadmin/dev you should know its not a computers = bad situation. It's God awful system implementation, trash software, trash components, and even worse redundancies.
It's like you're saying "why use email, when i can send a physical letter" in some aspects
But I agree these manufacturers produce shit products in the form of vehicle electronics.
I don't drink any more for the same reasons. There's plenty of people who don't drink at all due to whatever choices like religion, health, etc.
If people ask I just say "nah I don't drink because of health complications" 99.9% of people don't push any further. I just order water or a soda if I'm feeling it. What im drinking isn't anyone's concern.
The weird part is thinking you're appearing weird. Literally noone cares. Go have fun.
You mean competitive games right? Cause it sounds like you should avoid competitive games and game modes. The competitiveness is the point on of competitive games. Which is fine, not everyone needs to enjoy every game genre/mode. Just don't think it's the players fault in your outlined situation.
Usually the games can run as solid as on windows. Only issue tends to be anti-cheat software not playing nice. Apex seems to function well via Proton. Checkout ProtonDB for a list of what's working.
I get it's a meme, but it should be "Toxic gamers".
A competitive game, in a competitive mode usually attracts competitive people. These people want to win, are playing to win, etc. This is the enviroment made for that. People complaing in non competitive modes are just toxic people.
But it's also toxic to enter a competitive mode as a casual, cause a loss for your teammates, then blame it on " I just play to have fun XD".
LoL is a esport competitive game, so it definitely breads a competitive player base. Not every game is made for every single person to enjoy. Which is fine.
Plenty of games are released daily that you could instead play that match your wants. If you give more insight outside of "just wanting an easy game", I could sort out list of reccomdations and send them your way.
Haha never seen these things before. Reminds me of an El Camino, but trying to be a sports car instead of America muscle upfront.
