  • CPU-z can assist in detection. Another option is disassemble of the card from the fans, heat sink, etc. And verify the physical components vs. A known good source card.

You could run some GPU based benchmarks and compare results to other user submitted benchmarks to see if there's a massive deviation from the norm. Ymmv, unless the results you're comparing to have a similar entire system setup.

There's also nvidia profile inspector, can compare that with cpuz to point out any spoofed possible changes if they don't align data wise.

  • I don't know a single person nor do I think most people would hold small studios and indie devs to the same level as Larian, which has 400 people working on BG3.

What's embarrassing is the AAA devs making excuses, trying to use this concept as an excuse for half backed lackluster AAA releases. When most of them have released great games in the past. Most of which likely isn't even the individual devs (people) fault, but rather their corporate leaders and shareholders pushing for quick profits. Which has resulted in a toxic release environment.

People will hold devs accountable, and they should.

  • I find this comment so strange. People can enjoy somthing as a hobby, not everything needs to be completely practical / used as a tool. Like I explained I enjoy tinkering with 3d printers.

I went into conversation in the thread about what I print and a goal with another user.

This thread was purley asking for reccomendations on other aspects of the hobby and more of a what aspect of the hobby should I explore next. While listing what "tools" I have already experienced.

Thought conversion was the the whole point of having online communities around a related topic.

  • I use my printers various random objects, functional repair prints, stuff like that. Not doing any sort of production on them. I mainly just enjoy the hobby and messing around with the printers themselves with no objective.

Main reason I've been considering adding in a resin printer is more intricate small designs like game peices or some more complex shapes in general. Currently I get some pretty nice results as far as surface finishes go on the FDMs, but feel I could get more out of a resin print as far as micro details go.

    Thanks!

  • Galaxy Note 10+.

I'm a big dude, with massive hands and it's the first phone I've used that doesn't give me finger cramps after extended use.

It's still a snappy phone with a good load of ram(12gb), great for multi tasking, has the pen (reduced my sticky note habit by a ton haha) and removable SD storage.

Wish it had an aux port still, have some old pairs of headphones I'd like to use without a dongle. Battery life is starting to go a bit on me, but I did buy it day one. Thankfully I can just replace that myself when I need to ( electronics repair background). I do miss having an IR blaster like my S4 had, used it for all sorts of remotes.

  • People spend way to much time complaining about how games are not perfect in their eyes, instead of taking it at face value. They get literally outraged when a game doesn't function exactly how they want, instead of finding a game they actually enjoy.

Back in the day we'd just pick whatever looked cool at the store and hoped it was decent. People have the right to complain, but its gotten out of hand and modern gamers are whiney as all hell.

Edit: just want to clarify, I'm mainly refer to post launch and established games. If a game promises somthing and is released half baked, 100% people are in the right to complain.

  • You sure make a ton of assumptions buddy.

I have every right to complain about whatever I want, whenever I want, and yes i can spend my money on whatever i want however i want. Don't like it, take your shit and fuck off little man.

You miss the entire statement of me refunding it if it's bad? I specifically pay in a manner that allows me to refund or even charge back at will, which impacts the seller equally. How about the point about pre-orders being dumb overall, thats literallyin agreement? Or the referencing of the specifics around pre-orders = no more trials, as stated in the OP.

Now I'm just gonna stoop to your shit brain level and assume youre a broke ass child who spends money they can't afford to lose on non-essetinal items, like video games for example.

  • My money, my choice. Everyone saying otherwise can eat a bag of dicks. I'll preorder for bonuses if a game looks good, and I'll refund that purchase if it releases in a garbage state.

I must remeber the history of gaming completely differently. Noone was demanding trials. Majority of people went to a store, looked at box art, made a purchase based on the art and description on the back. Plenty of stinkers in the mix.

Trails would be nice sure, not going to deny that. But I fail to see how pre-ordering is linked to no trials lol.

The concept of needing to pre-order a digital asset is already dumb as fuck. It won't run out of stock or anything. That should be the reason to stop pre-orders, not due to a lack of arbitrary trails. Only reason I do it os the bonues or early access/head starts.

  • I like to drop my cooling fan down to 10% and drop my layer hieght slightly for the first 3-5 layers of the prints for PETG. It tends to like to shift a bunch if cooled too quickly. I also have better results on a textured print surface.

  • It's only a deal breaker for children and those who have the mental development of a child. It's basically two children on the playground arguing that their personal favorite colour is better just because.

It logically and practically does not matter at all what colour a fucking text bubble is.

  • Really comes down to the fidelity of the model you're printing. If there's a lot of micro detail and you want that to be encapsulated in the final print it could be worth sacrificing time for. Highly reccomend just playing around with a few prints to form your own opinion, as that's half the fun of 3d printing!

BTW, those are looking good for a first print, congrats!
