The majority of communities on Lemmy are just reddit clones without any "heart" to them.
This would imply that reddit still has heart, which it doesn't.
Lemmy is still finding itself. For the majority here, leaving reddit was the whole thing that brought them here. It's going to take time to form its own identity that's less of a shadow of reddit and more of a demonstration of the new communities.
The current generation of F1 is largely about tire management and the current car seems to be all over the place with tire wear. Some weekends it's relatively kind on the tires with reasonable pace and some weekends it rivals Ferrari on tire wear. Combined with the extremely narrow setup window the car is too inconsistent to fight at the front.
Monaco has a cult following already and doesn't need the hype. Vegas and Miami are newer and still trying to justify their place on the calendar. It's a marketing strategy.
FWIW Charles had a special race suit for Monaco this year. Definitely more driver oriented but still coordinated with and approved by the team. It's not a livery but it's something.
How often have we seen Max yield a potential fastest lap when he has the car/tires for it? I'd like to think Lando taking the fastest lap was a sign they had more left in the tires, admittedly with more management, than the lead Red Bull.
Max even mentioned in the post race interview that it was really the middle stint that gave him the gap. After that the pace was similar, so I think if McLaren can get their high fuel running deg under control they'll be competitive.
This is the same crap that happened to Lando multiple times last weekend. He rightly pointed out that these crashes are going to happen if people keep doing these multi-car squeezes and not giving enough space for more than two cars when the track is plenty wide. It's a silly way to crash out, especially on the first lap.
Hold on what was that you mumbled at the end?
