  • “Good morning world, I’m awake and your problem now” are some good words to live by

But guys and gals and all my other pals, your life is worth it and you make someone else’s life in better even if you don’t know it so if your in a dark spot, at least in the US the call the hotline at 988

  • I have a lemmy.world account i forgot the password to, does that count?

“Oh im just trying out instances I’ll remember, it doesn’t NEED to go into my password manager” -someone with adhd

  • No the commenter but I think it’s one of those language things where algorithm (at least in the context of social media) has come to mean a personalized feed, like two people have different all feeds versus an algorithm like sorting by hot or active posts that every has the same posts. To your point both are algorithms but it’s one of those thing where the word has taken on its own meaning

  • My first guess would be money transport

I’ve seen them a couple times but I’m pretty sure a store can only have so much money on site. When you have a truck that’s visiting multiple of these stores on their rounds would definitely be a target for your ballsy ner-do-well

  • On a similar note, a reason why you shouldn’t respond to spam/scam texts because it basically verifies you as an active phone number. Why waste man/bot power texting numbers that may or may not exist when a majority of your texts will at least be seen by a human which will probably boost their chance

It’s why I tell my friends not to respond even tho some of their responses are really funny

Some smarter ones I see usually range between 2-7 lines of text usually written as a time sensitive question that will affect the totally real persons social or work like

One of my favorite ones was about 5 lines of text that was posed as a date

It was like “Hey Kayla it’s Mike, some short sob story about dating life, hope our first date goes well, then nonsense about dating with an address thrown in

However after the 5 lines it was in Arabic or some similar flowy characters and when I translated it continued “mikes” story about where he was from and how oh so sad his life was

Tldr totally fishing for a pity “sorry wrong number” to see if my phone number would be seen by human

  • I also said way less than what I was thinking but you pretty much summarized the other half of what I was thinking with people being able to get the authenticator which is in this case the message

I also just plain don’t like them

Idk why beyond the reasons I said

  • not an SMS

OMFG YEEEEEEESSSSS I HATE THOSE I’m not even super duper security focused I just love the idea of even a bot farm has to guess a code within a 30 second window

Meanwhile sms codes usually expire between a ten minutes and an hour, usually a half hour, but thats if at all

As much as I hate them they’re better than nothing :/

  • That’s normal sounding to me and like others have said probably dreaming but if you think it’s an issue PLLLLLEEEEEEEAAAASE go see a vet

I had a beagle when I was little and his paws would shake once like the dog “wrist” area with a little under the breath woof

My current dogs don’t do that but sometimes I’ll get a a paw shake

A really funny story is one of my current dogs farted in her sleep and woke her self up, looked around, and fell back asleep somewhere else
