  • I don't think the weird pronouns or identities like "I'm a blue black dragon born in Azeroth" make any sense to me whatsoever but it takes me zero effort to use whatever the person prefers so even if it doesn't make sense to me I'd rather not go out of my way to make a person sad, especially someone who I have no idea what they're going through in their own lives. We all got our own shit and the world would be a better place if people could just not be assholes to each other about the little things.

  • The woman who birthed my child didn't remember anything of the actual process, the pain is so bad the brain just kinda blocks it out after the fact apparently. I've read this is fairly common. One thing I do remember is how bad my hand hurt after all that squeezing, I needed like a whole two ibuprofen to fix it, talk about killer.

  • I remember seeing this ring built specifically for this purpose. It was an unobtrusive metal band and you could synch it up to its pair and it would squeeze your finger in time with the pair's heartbeat sensor, I'll see if I can find it again

I don't believe this is the one I came across but was all I could find with a quick search. The website seems a li'l sketchy based on grammatical errors so I'd do some double checking into it but it seems like what you're looking for. https://my.thetouchx.com/hbring/howto-use-hbring

  • I didn't block hexbear until a few months after joining and personally experiencing all the toxic vitriol that comes from there. They REALLY stick out. .ml hasn't been bad enough to where I can see a post and immediately go "oh yep that's from .ml" like hexbear

  • .ml is another of the tankie triad instances that are typically blocked for context. On lemme.ee for their loose defederation policies and I'll be moving to .zip for the same, but I still block hexbear at the least because of how horrible those people are, rather bang my head against a wall than entertain that cess pool

  • I lucked out into being born 5'10, not tall enough to need special clothes, but short enough so the shallow "6ft or nothing" women self filter themselves and I don't have to deal with them myself. I had a buddy who was 5'4ish who was an absolute disgusting human being but always blamed being alone on his height, also have a buddy who 5'2ish and married to an absolutely wonderful woman

  • I once fell asleep with a laptop on my lap that had a horrible heat sink and would basically turn itself off every half hour. My legs were crossed when I fell asleep and my heel was right up against the vent.. Woke up with the laptop still on. Confused. And then PAIN. It has used my heel as a heat sink. MASSIVE burn, horrible pain, like four inch blister, still have the scar twenty years later. Had to wear flip flops for like a month shudder

  • You should check it out, it's ostensibly a comedy show but it's much more....I dunno, human experience exploration? He's got a bunch of reenactments of actual final logs from downed flights and the conversations recovered from the black box. Crazy what some of the pilots say

  • Ah I was just wondering your thoughts on it if you had seen it. Basically he posits that most accidents are due to bad communication in the cockpit and he's exploring at how to better train pilots to communicate

  • There's not as many people outside just....existing. I'm not that old but I remember just going outside and seeing people just not doing anything in particular everywhere, now it seems like everyone always has some place to rush to and no one is allowed to just exist in public places anymore. Maybe that also has something to do with my perspective shifting has I got older, but I still feel like it's true.

Also bugs. There are like NO fucking bugs anymore. Couple decades ago you could walk out and get sandblasted by a million different bugs and now everything just feels so fucking dead and sterile and depressed. It's like outside was replaced by a clinic and no one bothered to complain.

  • I stay out of that fight because I don't know enough about the real statistics to comment on it. Which I feel like would drastically improve the situation if all these armchair "bIoLoGiCaL aDvAnTaGe" people would do the same.
