You're tight about the primaries. But, the democrats can still pick a different candidate at the committee. We have plenty of time for that. We can even do debates and polling before then.

We live in the information age. We still have plenty of time. But you're right, it would have been better if we had a real primary to begin with.

You're technically correct. It's just his campaign heavily implied it. And now he's acting surprised when people are bringing it up.

You don't need to have a replacement ready. You can run this thing called a primary where people vote on who the replacement should be. We can even gather up the democrats and let them discuss the future of the party and officially nominate a new candidate. We can call that a democratic convention. We have plenty of time.

Correct. We also don't have a right to privacy or many other things we all wish we had. A lot of what we rely on is just the court's interpretation of laws and the constitution. We've recently seen how fragile those interpretations can be.

To be fair, gun rights are an actual constitutional right. I don't think the democrats ever tried to make an amendment to include abortion rights. For them, the threat of losing it was a good campaign issue.

There is no reason to suspect they will. There is a reason it will be a prerecorded interview. What Biden needs to do is some town halls. If he knows he can't, he should know he needs to step aside.

I'm not sure that's true. Typically, the other party wins after a two term president.

I'm starting to think the best move might not be to replace Biden, but to swap out Kamala... Kamala has lower approval than Biden and missed her chance to make an impact during this term. If Biden had a strong VP, the question of his health wouldn't be as big.

Ultimately, yes that's the case. It's the candidates job to attract voters.

And that's great, that's what I do in the primaries. I'm not about to risk a Trump presidency just to place a vote for a 3rd party that I probably also don't actually like. Just plug the nose and stop the larger threat.

Oh I know. I live in a swing state, so I have to plug my nose and vote.
