  • Lol. Typical. Leaving out the next verse conveniently.

Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her,

Basically demanding that Husbands show the same love to wives as Christ did for the Church... Y'know, the Guy who said "I came not be served but to serve", washed His disciples, ended up being crucified.... But demanding a man love his wife that much may make him uneasy, and that's not good for us men, is it? /s

I saw a sermon a while ago, and the pastor said that taking a bullet is easier than the day-to-day "dying" to yourself that you'll have to do for your wife. Such as sacrificing things that you enjoy doing for her sake. But people don't seem to understand that dynamic.

  • Nah, Jeremy Corbyn lost two elections. He failed to make a proper stance on Brexit, and could have stopped it. Also had sketchy IRA connections. (Just like how Farage voiced support for the IRA because somebody paid him to)

Chaos with Ed Milliband however... Sign me up

  • Interesting how Minecraft is the best selling game ever, yet it has basically no DRM. Apart from the actual download, buying an account gives you access to the official authentication servers, and that's it, basically.

  • However, when it comes to criminal charges, they do have to draw a line where "accidents happen"

You may also need to have a gun be reasonably accessible for self defence in an emergency.

I'm not picking sides by the way, but I'm just sort of reckoning how something like this could happen with no charges.

  • I don't know what happened here exactly, but there can be cases where a parent did take appropriate measures (by definition), but the child got through them anyway. For example, a child watches a safe being locked/unlocked and gets the password, or guesses the password (maybe it's the same as mum's phone password), etc. Or broke a glass case.

  • The article is quoting a ridiculous comment someone left and exposing how it's stupid.

However, that comment itself was a parody

I think the "war in France" thing is an argument that the illegal immigrants coming across in boats from France are abusing the asylum system to pick and choose what country they end up in, instead of actually seeking safety. As if you were seeking safety, you wouldn't have an issue being in france.

  • One person has been evicted already, to make way for an estate office. When she complained about her treatment on social media, the first reply stated, without a shred of evidence: “You’re being evicted so that young fighting age male refugees, who are escaping war in France, can have somewhere safe to live, who, as far as our government is concerned, have priority over you … VOTE REFORM!” That’s how divide and rule works: never mind the anonymous plutocrat evicting her, the true culprits, somehow, are asylum seekers.

We are lectured by rightwing parties and the rightwing media about the need for “integration”. But that word is used only as a weapon against immigrants. It is not they who rip communities apart, tear people from their homes and shut us out of the land, causing social disintegration. It is the power of money.

But look, a spider! The cosmopolitan city, swarming with immigrants and trans people, is coming to get you! It will terminate the traditions country people love and impose its own culture instead. It is drummed into our heads that what rural people want is different to what the oppressive urbanites desire. But it’s not true.

I love the (much needed) snark here
