  • (like Obamacare)

Obamacare isn't universal health care. The access it promises only exists if a person can afford to be price-gouged for their health care, and the majority of this nation can't.

    Abortion

It doesn't matter what your stance is if you're content to just let the worst happen and then use it to raise money, which is what Democrats did. (The cost of our bodily autonomy was $80 million, in fact.)

    Corruption in the courts

Again, it doesn't matter what your view is if you have power and choose not to wield it. By default, Democrats have sided with corruption by doing nothing to stop it.

Trump is the only world leader I know of who is a bully with a victim mentality. Kamala is not

You must not be familiar with US foreign policy then.

  • You may think it's "on our dime" or whatever

I don't know why you put this in quotes when it's literally on our dime, and not only that, we're watching the impoverishment and neglect of our own people on a historically vulgar scale in service to this war machine and genocide.

But, we're a warmongering nation. People will always make excuses.

  • I don't need to watch a video to comment on the trustworthiness of its creator.

    LOL

    Okay.

  • I hope I live to see the day when UBI becomes a nationwide program here in the US.

  • All of the money spent on this event feels incredibly vulgar, given the planet-wide suffering of the poor and workers, and child genocide happening right under their noses.

It reminds me of the opening scenes of the Hunger Games.

  • What did he say that is factually incorrect? Did you even watch the video?

  • Oddly, this would be scarier to me if I hadn't lived through a protracted 40-year loss of economic and social liberty on the part of the working class and working poor. It seems to me we have bipartisanship for all the really shitty things.

There hasn't been a minimum wage increase in almost 20 years, despite the vulgar increase in cost living nationwide. The majority of Americans can no longer afford to see a doctor or get a college degree. We no longer have autonomy over our own bodies, and neither party is doing anything to stop it. They are, however, making hundreds of billions appear out of thin air for other countries' wars. The cherry on the top of this shit pie is that 99% of voters don't see support for child genocide or brain damage as disqualifying for the presidency.

Republicans turn back the clock. Democrats make sure no one fixes the damage. It's the ratchet effect.

The only plus I see here is that circumstances in the US are so bad that it's forced labor unions to get stronger by necessity.

  • kamala and Trump are complete opposites

    Personality-wise, definitely.

Politically, not as much as you'd think, judging by how we always end up being ruled by conservatives.

  • It's too late for that. You guys had Williamson in the primary, but I'm apparently the only one who voted for her.

  • Remember how excited people were when Kyrsten Sinema was elected? This was an out, fabulous lesbian from a decidedly red state. Her seat was almost certainly going to lead to progressive movement.

    But nope.

And now the people are telling me I have to be excited about another bootlicker for the billionaires because she's a woman and a person of color, but no.

TLDR: This video is on point. Harris is going to rule as a conservative and it doesn't matter that she's a Democrat, a woman, or a POC.

  • There's no way she hasn't already promised to keep sending Israel free weapons on our dime. Israel is one issue where both parties' positions are 100% the same.

  • Wow.

I am not one to kink shame, but dude, c'mon. THIS and Trump are the best the Republican Party could do? Out of 330,000,000 people?

It just goes to show that Republicans are monumental pieces of shit.

  • Neither of these choices are going to do anything meaningful? Harris is going to protect my access to my medications, she's going to protect the environment, she's going to protect our ability to actually elect another president after her!

Historically, Democrats have done none of that.

You can't access your medications if you can't pay for them, and Democrats have always sided with price-gouging and cost-prohibitive health care.

Democrats also, despite their promises to the contrary, take very good care of Big Oil and the air and automotive industries.

As for voting... what exactly have the Democrats done that is in any way significant in order to protect voting rights? All I see is the nickel-and-diming was saw on abortion before Roe was repealed and our lawmakers in Washington passing 60 meaningless bills a session then going home to count their money.

    What does that even mean?

In 2/3 of the US states it's still legal to pay 7 bucks an hour, and it's been that way across two Democratic administrations that had control of Congress. Therefore, yes, I can reasonably conclude that Democrats are anti-worker, and to vote for them is to vote against your own interests if you are one.

You elect another Democrat and all we're going to get for it is a ton of broken promises and empty excuses.

  • Harris is going to save us from Trump

    Who is 'us' here?

Because if you're someone who actually works for a living, neither of these choices is going to do anything meaningful for you.

And the fact that Trump is awful doesn't change the fact that Harris is a shitty candidate too. Some of us actually have to put food on the table in this country.

  • The key is to categorize anyone over 12 as an enemy combatant, of course.

  • I agree.

Historically disappointing, like the Obama presidency. I remember being so excited when he was elected.

We had a Democrat with a supermajority and a mandate. Turns out that guy was a president for the billionaires, just like all of the others.

  • As they fucking should.

And not because the same was done to Biden, though the silly geese on the blue side seem to only care about retribution here.

There's a basic, important principle here that the president absolutely needs to have a working brain. Biden and Trumps' brains are doing what old brains do, and there's no shame in it, but they are walking examples as to why we need an age limit for the presidency.

  • TIL World of Warcraft is still a thing.

And goddamnit, yes, their staff should unionize.

  • This isn't surprising to me.

The last few days have felt like Obama fever all over again, which is a good and a bad thing in my book.

It's good in the sense that Trump is way too Nazi-Adjacent for me to think his loss would be a bad thing. It's a bad thing because Harris, like Obama and Biden, will be a billionaire's president if elected, and the US will therefore become more fascist, not less.
