Yeah, I don't understand people who have literally everything in life feeling some weird need to make up reasons to feel oppressed.
And yeah, when she decided to make friends with the fascists, I decided anything I ever buy again with her name attached to it will be bought second hand so she doesn't profit from it.
If you're a wage worker, though, America's already lost. Every time I hear about the 16,000,000 new jobs the Biden Administration has created, I have to remind myself that most of these are second and third jobs, because the majority can't live off of one anymore. In Mississippi, where the minimum wage is still $7 an hour, you'd need to be making at least $28 an hour to be able to afford to live and start a family, at minimum.
And that's not even considering health care and education, both of which are cost-prohibitive now for most.
If you're working for a wage in this country, you're already living under fascism.
If I can't be immortal, I would so love an extra 20-50 years of life experience if I can experience it in a healthy and fulfilling way, so I love seeing news stories like this.
It is exceedingly disheartening to me that, no matter who I vote for in the next election, these actions are going to continue and Israel will not only remain our ally, but we're still going to be sending them our weapons and my tax dollars.
The Castlevania games have been organized into a couple of collections that are very inexpensive, and I would HIGHLY recommend those. They're on PC and Switch.
I replay Castlevania 1 and 3 at least once a year.
Judging by what we have seen from Democratic presidents over the last 40 years, particularly under Obama, the NYT doesn't need to say it. We can assume that Harris will rule as a conservative if elected; the unfortunate side effect of rampant campaign funding from billionaires, who expect a return in their investments.
That would be pretty darn cool.
