  • Luckily they're in NATO (and the eu), so they wouldn't be left alone on a technicality as Ukraine.

  • I gave up on Linux when the repository for my Logitech mouse dongle stopped working 3y ago. Why couldn't I get something as simple as a fucking mouse dongle work instantly blew my mind. Never bothered trying Linux again since.

Too much Linux evangelism here on Lemmy. Linux is absolutely not as user-friendly as Windows is for non techy ppl.

    • tires from the trucks that brought your food to the shop.
    • the tires from your Amazon delivery truck +...

There's so many variables, it's ridiculous to try to pin it on individuals.

  • You really believe a large Corp like reddit decided on something as big as this without consulting with their lawyers? Fuck spez, but there's no way not a single lawyer working with reddit remembered the massive legislation that has by far had the largest impact on the internet in years.

  • Wrong thread I think. I thought I replied to someone that claimed mcdo supports the genocide. Was just wondering where that claim comes from.

  • Genuine question: in what way is mcdo supporting the genocide in Gaza?

  • Anyone worth their salt knows win+D tbh. The button is unnecessary

  • Did you see the "tents" they have? A wooden cube frame made with 2x4s and a plastic sheet draped over it. I wouldn't keep my pigs in such a shitty thing, let alone human beings...

  • Because the entire language is a fucking exception

  • Try last epoch. Got it last week, it's really scratching that Diablo itch without being as complex as path of exile. It's not as visually polished as Diablo and the story is average at best, but the builds are more interesting, a loooooot more qol stuff and it plays just as well. I have very high hopes for the future of this game.

  • Oh man, "did you want to hear this again?" Every single fucking time I would be mashing a to get through his dialog and press yes by accident. Every time...

  • Expanse is like reading an amazing and realistic adventure.

Hyperion is like reading an adventure while high on shrooms.

They're both very well written and entertaining, but so different in their set-up.

Currently in my life I prefer realistic style scifi over mind bending stuff, so I'd recommend the expanse. .

  • Man, this should also be a thing for humans. Seeing my grandmother deteriote very slowly is just painful. She wants it to end, we want it to end seeing her deaf, borderline blind and slowly turning incontinent, but her very old body just keeps going on and on without needing long term medical care. Should be part of human rights, dying on your own terms (without having to resort to violence, eg suicide)

  • Interesting article image :) Lemmy glitch? Or bbc glitch?

  • Considering how lazy I am, there is no way my brain would bother with all the little details I see everywhere when I go out. When I'm at a busy station or crossing and I literally see thousands of different people walk by, not a single repeat face? Proof enough for me this is real tbh.

(and if you go the simulation way, who cares? If a simulation can give billions of ppl their own lives, feelings, dreams and hopes, it does not matter in the slightest to the ppl living in it that it's real or a simulation)

  • Yeah, I use that one a lot. But some of the more outlandish designs don't appear to be from models from civetai. I'm mostly interested in those tbh. Making humans is easy :). Making cool non human things is more interesting of a challenge to me

  • Fair enough, could always just add [chatgpt] to the post though
