  • It costs almost the same as an Analogue Pocket and has way fewer features.

The Last Game Boy You’ll Ever Buy

No matter how repairable this thing is, I guarantee you that original Game Boys pretty much offer the same level of repairability. I bought all of my GBs (DMG01, GBC, GBA SP) in broken state and repaired them; it's not that hard.

For that price you can almost certainly find original hardware and have fun repairing it. That's what iFixit should advocate for IMO.

Edit: There's a Logan Paul Edition.... What?

  • I don't know, the whole premise of it being somehow calming or something.

One user once tried to explain his fascination for Drone Doom to me; they said that it had a lot to do with feeling the "weight" of the music. Maybe it's the same with noise? There's something undeniably raw and visceral about it.

Noise Rock can be good, but only because the Rock part re-introduces actual musical elements.

  • When German people go to hell, or skiing, they are forced into little tents, served shitty overpriced beer, and are subject to repeated blows to their ears

That's pretty accurate, actually. Same goes for "Apres Ski", which is the same but more annoying and sexist.

  • I always found noise music to be more intriguing than annoying. I still haven't met a single person who listens to noise music and enjoys it.

  • Turn on the radio (to a contemporary pop station) and you'll see. Especially with all that christmas music right now.

  • Pretty common belief among stupid 7-year-olds, I think; humans couldn't see colour up to the mid-60s.

  • The second one.

  • I'm a man and I don't so...

I don't get why boobs and asses are so interesting for some people.

  • I just wanna be by myself and not forced to pretend that I like doing stuff with my family...

  • I think we already have had enough time to "experience" AI in Edge to never want an AI browser..

  • The original DVD release of The Room, a legitimate copy of Pokémon Emerald or Ruby, the official CD release of Blood Bagel by Red Vox and many more that I can't think of right now.

Feel free to give me any of these in return for a friendly conversation /s

  • The Zunes on eBay over here are either non-existent or super expensive unfortunately

  • Oh I wish I had a Zune HD, it's exactly my kinda thing; quirky, niche and pretty much failed. I loved the interface of that old Zune media player that was available for Windows 7, used that for quite a while before switching to Foobar2k.

Nokia Mix Radio was amazing as well, used that all the time on my Lumia 930.

  • Windows Phone, particularly Windows Phone 8.1. It had its flaws, the biggest being the lack of third-party support of course but the UX was the best I've ever experienced on a mobile device.

The UI was very different from Android/iOS but felt more consistent and intuitive. The Live Tiles especially were just such a good feature to get as much information as possible on one screen. And it all looked so incredibly good for the time with its silky smooth animations.

It's a shame Microsoft ruined it all with Windows Phone 10...

  • They've added upgradable RAM with the Gen 5 models. The WIFI card is soldered, though, which isn't as bad but still meh for longevity IMO

  • My brand new ThinkPad P14s Gen 5 has HDMI, two USB-A 5Gbps ports, a headset jack, a half-height Ethernet port, as well as two thunderbolt 4 ports and an optional smartcard reader.

I agree that Apple kinda inadvertently ruined the port selection on many laptops for a while but it's gotten better over the years; even Apple brought back HDMI and SD-Card readers.

  • Typical CEO ragebaiting to make themselves seem relevant.

  • I'd much rather have a modern take on a 90s InWin case or something. Rock solid, tons of I/O options and very tall.

Modern cases need to bring back optical drive bays...
