  • She originally claimed she was kicked out because she was too enthusiastic about the show.

  • So...were there children in the audience? Sounds like she could be forced to register as a sex offender under some American laws.

  • Streaming services need to be federated, so there is a central search for content, and services are paid seamlessly for what's watched on their platforms. The customer barely needs to know who delivers the content.

  • I don't understand where you are on that point. He's in Australia, and their biggest export is iron ore concentrates. He's got all the things he needs for primitive iron.

  • A couple of years ago, Musk stated that Putin is substantially richer than he is.

Add to that Putin's bloodthirsty lunacy. Musk may actually fear his wrath.

  • He is responsible for the deaths of children.

  • Bro, he's going to boof some ethics with dudes from his frat.

  • I wonder if those cancerous fucks will push hard on appeals.

  • What are they going to do, make them pee in public on the side of the road?

  • If you really want to be messed up, absolutely nothing is where we think it is because gravitational lensing affects the light of every object in the universe, while we observe. The further away it is, the more light is warped by the masses along the path, and we can't know what those many masses are or where they are either.

Our observability of the universe is a guessing game as large as the universe, and there is no conceivable model to assess it all and the interrelations between...everything.

  • I was the sole mod of /r/skin until I got warned about the subreddit being private in protest.

I originally took it over because it was 100% spam and scams and the previous mod hadn't been on Reddit for years. It took a year before the spammers gave up. When I left I turned off the automod and the spammers will return. So much for trying to build a helpful space.

  • If cats can see them, then surely we can make tech that converts those wavelengths to one's humans can see, so we can admire each other's stripes.

  • People like this infuriate me. They don't clue in that travel decreases the fear and antipathy toward other cultures.

  • I deleted my main Reddit account but still find myself going back there occasionally for specific topics. For example, I haven't found a good place on Lemmy to ask travel questions.
