Rooftop solar eats up all demand in South Australia, world’s most renewable grid

  • It’s pretty exciting seeing South Australia hit new records every year. On track to be a 100% renewable grid within my lifetime. Looking forward to seeing more storage capacity being added so they can go full days powered by renewable energy, then multiple days, then weeks and even months!

    For those wanting more clarity, what do you mean? We have been given the proposed alteration to the constitution:

    In recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Peoples of Australia: 1.There shall be a body, to be called the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice; 2.The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice may make representations to the Parliament and the Executive Government of the Commonwealth on matters relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples; 3.The Parliament shall, subject to this Constitution, have power to make laws with respect to matters relating to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice, including its composition, functions, powers and procedures.

    Now I spend minimal time on Reddit and more time in lemmy. I know not everyone will agree but I wouldn’t mind it if a significant part lemmy was just screenshots of the best things from twitter, reddit, Facebook, 4chan etc

  • So as you begin to bore, that is one hole. But when you go through the other side, you have in fact made two holes. I think a donut can actually be thought of either as one hole or two holes, or more correctly; two holes that are the same hole.

    Back to the straw; if you make another hole in the side of the straw half way up, would it still have one hole? Or two holes? Or three holes?

    A bit like thinking of the human digestive tract, most of us would agree that your mouth is a different hole to your anus, but we agree that they are in two ends of the same system
