  • The dude has a more conservative voting record than the average house republican according to the heritage foundation. That voting record suggests he's a believer in conservative governing even if he thinks his party is dysfunctional as shit. I couldn't see Bernie Sanders voting with Republicans just to try to get democrats to get their shit together.

  • I don't typically consider myself wealthy, but I'll be canceling the policy that I have with them tomorrow. This just seems like really poor judgment, and I don't trust that they're managing their finances well enough to honor their policies.

  • Is it okay to openly say that you've cloned another product, or promote a product as a clone of another? I honestly don't know the legal precedents, and know that there are many sites that have copied elements of other products that they intend to compete with, but reading the post title gave me a sinking feeling of Reddit lawyers perking up.

The site looks nice, and I really hope that I'm just being paranoid about possible legal exposure.

  • I heard that the No Labels ticket approached her to be their candidate, but she declined it. If she's trying to set up a 2028 run, then it seems that switching to an independent ticket now would be pretty damaging to that plan.

  • I see it as the Special Counsel trying to find a cowardly way of keeping Trump from turning the mob against him. The dude knows he's got no case to bring, but if just shows up and says "no charges", then he's immediately going to be branded as a traitor to the MAGA cause, and likely start receiving death threats. He has to find a way to sling some shit at Biden to keep Trump from kicking him out of the cult.

  • I liked how they changed the tone of the original movies too. Like Scar originally being named Trash makes it a bit more understandable that he resents the crap out of his brother. I recall hearing that Iger wanted to get away from doing sequels a while back, and instead focused on the live action remakes. Seems this is just swinging back in the other direction.

  • I intended to respond to your comment, but certainly may have misunderstood the comment as well. What I meant was only that I thought Foggy was suggesting the potential racist sounding version of "snickering" that replaces the ck with gg, rather than suggesting that sremoveding sounds potentially racist.

I wasn't familiar with the word sremoveding before, but find the etymology fascinating and appreciate getting to learn about it.

  • I'll take this into consideration the next time I look for a new position. I've never been on the side of performing or requesting a background check on a potential employee, but have almost always been asked why I left my previous employer when I've interviewed for a new position. Thanks internet friend.

  • Seems like it would also have the effect of making the employee less appealing to any potential future employers. When asked in an interview why they left their previous job, these people have to decide whether to say honestly that they were let go because of mismanagement and risk their possible new job on whether the background check includes a call to the HR department of your last employer, or give the line that would match the HR record and say they were fired for poor performance. Either way is going to make it pretty hard to get hired, and so if Cloudflare ever needs to hire again in the future, there's a decent chance these people will still be seeking employment.

  • From what I could tell, his "appearance" in The Flash, which is in quotes because I'm fairly certain it was all CGI with no dialogue, was an incredibly deep cut inside joke for a Tim Burton Superman movie that never got released. His "appearance" in The Flash should not be considered a Nic Cage performance.

  • I don't belive the blue and red positions are very far apart on this particular issue. This is certainly an issue that justifies passionate response, but unless there is a candidate from the red that states that they would take a different approach more aligned with your values, I would look to other issues where the parties have made their differing positions more clear to decide which is more deserving of your vote.

  • Cutting off all military aid to Israel would definitely make us feel better for a minute, but I think your post accurately points out that what comes next is likely to be much worse. One genocide may turn into a different genocide as the regional powers decide it's open season on Israel. Then once Israel is facing probable eradication, the US is faced with allowing the destruction of Israel (including Israelis that oppose the current actions of their state), or getting back into a conflict, now with many more regional forces, and possibly nation states involved.

I absolutely agree with you that the IDF's actions are abhorrent and consistent with war crimes as I understand international agreement (which is only layman's understanding), but Bibi appears to be playing chicken with the entire population of Israel, and Biden may have blinked after considering the consequences.
