  • Maybe throw in a budget to help people narrow down the search. Else consider a budget android tablet + case with port covers and use some kind of remote desktop application over lan. Not sure what software (you may have a preference on Foss or proprietary) or what tablet (need the budget)

Edit for 20 mins of searching so take it with a grain of salt: looks like anydesk has a Linux client if you don't care about proprietary. Else VNC/tigerVNC might be a good way to go then get an android client for them like AVNC on fdroid. Personally haven't done this so maybe someone who does have the experience can shine some light (or post questions on the Lemmy instance). As for the actual tablet any modern android should do but I'm going to assume less is best in terms of price so something like a lenovo tab P11 or a fire tablet HD 10 + a case designed to withstand kids shouldn't break the bank.

  • Oh alright thank you for the info didn't know much this this works besides the basics. I don't really post anything, including replies, that I wouldn't on any other public forum so I'm fine if anyone can still it.

  • I guess it really depends on your area. I hear stories that it's the bee's knees and then other ones where the signal is so congested, especially if using a mvno. Personally I'm sticking with 4g, in my area 5g is about the same in speed unless you want to stay up til like 4am to get a decent boost.

  • Oh I didn't answer twice on this specific post but on another one that OP made. There is another reply on this post but its from a different person so yeah its probably just a federation issue but aye if you guys can still see it hope it helps.

  • Yeah you can select multiple bookmarks on mull and "copy to clipboard" then paste them into whatever spreadsheet editor you want if that's what you meant? You can then format the links correctly on something like Calc or excel. I never personally tried extensions but that might be another route you can take. Sorry for all of the downvotes the privacy community isn't always this hostile to a simple question. Hope you have a good one

  • Unless you want to add in your firefox login info to mull best option would be adding each bookmark to a spreadsheet and ~ manually adding each bookmark to your new browser ~

Edit: got a case of 2am brain over here and forgot an easier way. After saving the spreadsheet make sure its formatted correctly as hyperlinks that way you can export the spreadsheet as an HTML file. Depending on what desktop browser you can then import the HTML file in your bookmark manager

  • Ah that makes sense was hoping for something like what you described. Lmk if you aren't able to create a feature request I'll gladly make a github account for this. Thank you so much for the clarification.

  • Appreciate the feedback I'll definitely look at that if I ever need to debloat again. Assuming yes but does it function the same when used on android tv? Don't particularly have one just curious
