I haven't even listed all of the streaming services out there yet and we're already over the price of cable in a month. So yeah, it's not a price cut at this point anymore. It's a price increase.

  • Sort of. Netscape released the program's source code and Firefox used that as a base, but it wasn't like they took Netscape and just changed the name to Firefox like your comment implies. They were competing browsers for a while.

  • I never got that from minivan commercials. They mostly focused on storage capacity without needing to get a full size van, not really family. Family was more incidental because someone without a bunch of kids didn't need the space.

  • I really only saw it in threads specific to it, which were pretty scarce on Lemmy since I had stopped going to Reddit by that point except for one subreddit. Now there was chatter in that spot about the movie, but that was mostly about how one of the groups on the soundtrack was imploding themselves rather than the movie itself.

The only place I saw it in the wild was my local coffee shop made some drinks based on the movie. I'd also seen some advertisements prior, but that was months and months before release.

I guess you need a better adblocker?

  • You could use one of those too.

I like my chomchom, which is basically a double red lint brush on rollers with a storage spot for the fur to be easily removed after use. So you can do an entire cat tree before needing to stop to remove fur from the device.

  • Rule 1: The DM describes the environment.

Rule 2: The players describe what they want to do.

Rule 3: The DM narrates the results of the adventurers actions.

The rules on how to play are pretty basic and very flexible. You can easily play an entire game or campaign not going past those three rules or needing anything more in depth than that.

Some folks like crunch. Some folks like heavy crunch, some like light crunch. Some folks just want a mushy bowl of cereal. We're all just playing make believe. What rules you use is up to your table and what kind of crunch they want.

  • Because they have a different contract for work not covered by the current strike? That seems kind of a weird take, especially since they thought the strike did apply to them originally and they shut down for several weeks until the lawyers got together and said, oh no, you have a different type of agreement.

It's not like they changed or updated their contract to become exempt. SAG just went, oh, your business doesn't fall into the terms of the strike so you don't have to strike with the rest of us.

  • That's not apples to apples at all. You're talking about what consequences should happen for an overall system of punishment in a society where you're detached as a whole.

What an individual feels about someone who has directly harmed them is completely different. Arguing that you should forgive the people who hurt you because it's the moral thing to do is what abusers do.
