I don’t know much about the other distros but Fedora is a happy medium between bleeding edge features in arch and waiting 10 years. It’s also one of the few distros that support HDR And HDR gaming
I had to leave and won’t be back for a couple days. Tried googling was Fedora 41 is on and I just know it’s 6.11. Once I get back I’ll look at grub and update.
I can take a look at this. We use dell isilon which is Unix.
I’ll try to clarify better, as I was reading I couldn’t figure out how to explain it better, to start these are SMB shares. We also have about 90,000 employees to put the scale into perspective. For some reason I think they wanted to avoid the read only group because with that many employees it might be a group IT sec doesn’t want to have exist.
I wish there was an actual alternative to YouTube. I believe arm chair historian is going through the same thing but I think he gets paid more for sponsors so it doesn’t affect him as much. I’m also getting tired you YouTube blurring our minutes of video when they show dead bodies from war or other visuals they deem necessary to blur. I watch a ton of ww1 and ww2 documentary’s on the timeline channel and even some of mark feltons videos are getting blurred. It’s insane.
I’m running the latest Fedora on plasma with a 4080. My only issue is the main screen on steam looks like white noise from a tv in 1990, outside of that though I have had no issues
When they lowered their price I signed up. Not because it was cheaper but because they didn’t seem like a money driven company. I understand you need to make money and pay people but these tech companies that make hand over fist billions and keep it annoy me.
