  • Not always, but whenever we did the "lets put the dictator on a remote island" or similar thing, they came back, with a vengeance.

  • Yet his followers will take his word on it and have no clue what the stockmarket is doing.

  • The party of personal responsibility does not want to be held to any level of responsibility.

  • I have varicose veins on my legs and I'd love to have arms like that because they itch a lot.

  • This is like how in recent months I've been receiving "your account will be shut down" messages from services I've been using for literal decades, simply because I only use them 2-3 times a year, when they are actually useful to me, rather than regard them as some sort of social media platform.

It's super pathetic attention whoring by companies that lost any sense of what value they bring to their customers.

  • Modders already have ways to get paid for their work, without Bethesda trying to take a cut.

If Bethesda gets to normalize this, before long they'll disable free mod support and you'll only be able to get mods from them.

  • Exactly. There's assloads of precedent that if you allow a single company to normalize this crap, it'll be an industry wide thing within 5 years.

It happened with paid DLC, it happened with Microtransactions in full price games, it happened with pre-sales, it happened with subscription fees and season passes in full price games.

People keep pulling this "bwah, it won't be so bad", for it to get 10x worse than anything we expected.

  • Yeah, people kept saying that when people like TotalBiscuit were warning against micro transactions, paid DLC, pre-sales, etc becoming the norm.

Now the entire industry is shaped around it.

  • Because the endgoal is that something like the nexus can't exist as only mods published through CC can be loaded.

  • Until they make it impossible to load mods that don't come from their store.

  • There's 1001 existing avenues for modders to charge for their work, avenues they use, from Patreon versions of mods to plain simple donations.

The issue here is that Bethesda is trying to get in on that action and try take a cut.

They are laying the groundwork to transform the field for when they make it disallowed to use the other long existing avenues and only allow modding through them, possibly arbitrarily putting a cost on everything and taking a cut on everything.

  • Then they still got rid of a bad influence.

For them, Twitter dying, leaving the far right Twitter clones to do their thing or Twitter turning into what Elon was trying to turn it into is both an agreeable outcome.

  • They don't give a shit about that money.

Investors like the Saudi care about the influence.

  • And doing so while being in the party that covers fascist and racist speech with "freedumb of speech".

Protecting a guy that literally repeatedly previously and as recent as LAST WEEK said he wants to be a dictator.

  • Everything the right says is projection of past deeds or intent.

The whole grooming thing is just a projection of them doing their best to radicalize their own kids and doing their darnest to infest the school and other systems to further groom and indoctrinate their kids into radical racist pieces of shit.

  • Tables didn't turn.

That back then, as everything they say now, is pure projection of things they did or plan to do.

And then again I seriously have to ask why nobody is looking into New York Trump properties that have a pizza place or other food joint in it, because there's children being sextrafficed in its basement.

  • We care that history has made it so that they for themselves can't be open about who they are while it's overly obvious our whole family doesn't care and is accepting.

The damage the severe repression of LGBTQ+ in society has done, that still lingers in people strong enough that they can't be who they are while nobody around them would see anything wrong with them being out.

How sad that is is what we care about.

  • I have an aunt who to this day lives together with her best friend.

    50 years and counting.

We have regular family gatherings with me 300+ head extended family (1 weekend per year and 2 gathering afternoons per year) and we have over 20 gay couples in the mix.

LGBTQ+ acceptance is universal in my family.

They still are in the closet and saying they are just friends.

Friends that sleep in a single bed hotel room and smooch when people aren't watching.
