  • If you see some footage of a yellow object with a gleaming tip flying towards an asteroid, ya'll know full well who he is.

  • Many either don't know or don't care. More of the first than the later.

But, well, I used to run a raid guild in WoW and had this one dude where you could clearly hear porn playing in the background whenever he spoke. With him I've always verged on the side of thinking he must've had some sort of fetish for having people hear he was watching porn. Some really peculiar version of exhibitionism.

  • I tend to watch the whole Marvel lineup to this day starting early December and my wife and I watch the whole shebang of Harry Potter on Christmas eve and day.

March/April I tend to rewatch Boston Legal and the cliffnotes of Dragon Ball OG to Super. Rest of the shows I rewatch aren't as tied to time of year.

  • This whole "don't hold republicans accountable because they'll weaponize the courts" is such a meh argument.

    They already weaponize the courts.

But so far, without any evidence of wrongdoing against Democrats they try to do this against, they have had zero success.

While there is actual assloads of evidence against people like Trump (and others).

It'll spend some time and resources from democrats, but it'll also put some of the worst republicans in jail.

  • There is not a single indicator that they would ever even consider to "assimilate" anyone.

Every single time they created settlements, it was to kick out or eradicate Palestinians.

  • That's the issue with these brands that come about acting like they have the best new ideas, do things differently because they don't have 100 years of baggage and with that do things better because they go forward with a modern mindset.

It's true to an extent, except that you don't have the advantage of 100 years of trial and error to figure out what research, default practices and QA you have to do not to have a percentage of your cars have their wheels fall off.

  • Or a fortified settlement they'll (not so) slowly expand until it suddenly encompasses all of Gaza.

  • China has the advantage of actually having enough people to do the meat for the grinder approach though.

  • Thing is, that would only bring them to parity for the current gen, which they would instantly fall behind on having to start everything up again and train or force people into running the modern nodes.

These fabs (and pretty much ALL fabs) depend on tech to run their processes and make their chips, which isn't made in Taiwan.

If they do it for the silicon, they'll also need to take a good chunk of West Europe.

Would it set the West back a bit? Yes, but not all that much. There are non Eastern fabs up to date and the people in Taiwan trained to operate bulk fabs are probably on a shortlist for extraction targets too.

  • I generally agree unless the idea is actually something groundbreaking, which in 99.99% of cases, it isn't, even remotely.

When it's actually something groundbreaking, the person having the idea should have some protection to actually get rewarded for the idea.

I've been in companies where tradesecrets were stolen and it can seriously fuck a company.

The execution doesn't matter when a third party can undercut your price by 90%+.

  • Don't waste the resources trying to send some ashes to a small speck far from earth.

Just launch em straight into the sun, big target and a perfect alternative for where they should go if it existed. The burning fires of hell.

  • It's gotten far more complicated that that, but we can keep it with "Suspect of running a (or multiple) charity scams, eventually paying a token amount that is only in line with reported revenue, not with revenue that can easily be checked from the vods of the charity streams.

  • People are also forgetting that he spent the past decade creating systems and tech for NMS that he can now use in his new game. Systems and Tech he didn't have in hand when dreaming up NMS.

  • Considering I was present at several Microsoft and other vendor events where they laughed their way through blue screens and other crashes, I'm perfectly OK saying Apple did something bad.

  • Lying to banks is exactly the thing that may get Trump finally convicted.

  • To make it extra evil, Vivi for short.

(ducks for all the Final Fantasy fans that now want to kill me)

  • it causes me extreme emotional and physical pain

That's the exact opposite of feeling remorse.

Remorse is about feeling bad about what you did to others or your country.

  • No wonder they hate the extension of the funding for that program that monitors foreign nationals communications on popular apps.

It makes it harder for them to communicate with their Russian and Saudi benefactors.
