I think he's just been super into X for decades starting with some /r/Ithinkthisisdeep mathematics symbolism he placed on it way back when he co-founded X.com before it was bought by PayPal. He puts it into literally everything. I don't think there's much more to it than an edgelord trying to brand himself around a cool sounding letter with quasi "I am very smart" mathematical symbolism. Highly doubt the dudes a Nazi. It's genuinely far dumber than that.
I get the humor in it but this is probably not a road worth going down. Trying to equate the physical letter X with a Swastika feels like folks are really stretching it to the breaking point. Plenty of other things to shit on Musk over than equating an X to some nefarious Nazi conspiracy. That's like straight up right wing Pizzagate territory.
Depends on the state, but one consistent one is another one you mention, which is getting teacher's some space between the parents. Another element is just giving them some measure of creative flexibility in delivering curriculum. I teach in the corporate world and have had many former public teachers come over. The number one and two reasons for leaving the field aren't pay, they are those other things. Complete lack of creative expression and being constantly bombarded by parents who want to interfere with how their children are being taught.
It's unfortunately a strategy. Say a lot of lies and just gaslight the media into both giving you attention and having to correct the record. Meanwhile their base already heard them say it and isn't listening to any rebuttal.
It really isn't though. Donald Trump took to Twitter and went on camera to quite literally call his base to action. There's copious recoed of all of his actions throughout. He called for it and they came. There's really no gray area here.
He's been doing X shit forever. He had a comany in 1999 that merged with PayPal. Then he has SpaceX. Dude is obsessed with that letter for whatever reason like he wants to be known for it, but I'll only recognize David X. Cohen, co-creator of Futurama, as the true purveyor of the letter X.
I believe his main goal is turning Twitter into something of an "everything" site where he's looking to combine the likes of Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Discord, and Venmo/Paypal into a single service. I don't know if it was his goal when he bought it or if it has any chance in hell of working, but that's something he at least said (while probably drunk) fairly recently.
No need for TikTok either, really. All of that same shit is available on a dozen other services. Let's just be gone with them both.
