  • I was about 4 months overdue for a check-up so went in a few days ago. Thought it was funny that, after checking in with reception, the first thing this well-known company does, when you go in for en eye-test...is test your hearing. Hmm...OK...glad I tested normal for that. Pre-tests done and then you're handed over to someone else for the actual eye-test, then over someone else for the field-of-vision test. Four staff for one 20min appointment. This company hasn't got the best reputation back in the UK, but credit to them here for not going for the hard sell on two-for-one deals they're known for.

e: this was bulk-billed too. They've got to be getting something back, I reckon the un-requested hearing tests might be getting some tax credits

  • Anyone been to the Frankston Brewhouse? We're going on Sunday

  • Cool photo :) Are we allowed to post twitter names here? There's a great space photographer I'd love to plug, his work is great

  • Cool! Where'd you get that?

  • I am absolutely the least qualified person to answer this, but I'd go with the shirt and cardi combo. It's going to be another warm-ish day and the cardi is easiest to de-layer.

  • Its' sofa night. I work weekends, so this is my Friday. Mrs_Owl is up at 6am tomorrow to start her working week. By mutual agreement, she has the bed and I crash out on the sofa at some point in the wee hours thanks to YouTube auto-play.

  • I do this. My daily to-do list has some easy wins so I can tick stuff off and feel I've achieved something. You're right, some things can wait; for me they are either 'now' or 'not now', a trait of Time Blindness that people with ADHD experience. And of course the best planned to-do list can be derailed as soon as a 'now' task jumps into your thoughts.

  • Genuine question - why would I need to scrub my account, also how would I back it up? TIA
