  • In the past, I just kept myself busy. I threw myself into work and my hobbies. If I got hit with a sudden wave of depression, I'd just take a deep breath, accept that it hurts, and try to refocus on whatever I was doing. Rinse and repeat until it eventually just stopped mattering to me.

I also told myself that if I'm having to convince someone to stay with me, we probably aren't as compatible as I'd imagined we were. And if I need a second person in my life to feel fulfilled, all that means is that I'm not living a fulfilling life for myself in the first place. That's worth changing before even considering finding a partner. Finally, even if I convinced that person to return to me, I honestly wouldn't feel the same way about them anymore, so what's the point? There was probably someone better for me out there anyway (spoiler: there was).

Start doing stuff for yourself that you can be proud of and brag about. Start accomplishing something you know you would never have if that other person stayed in your life. Give yourself a reason to love yourself before even considering bringing another person into the picture, because it's not fair to them or yourself if you need to depend upon them just to be happy.

  • Does private relay work in junction with third party VPN services?

  • I like Many a True Nerd’s Tale of Two Wastelands series. It’s a mod that merges both Fallout 3 and New Vegas, but the host is a bit of a fallout super fan so he tours obscure areas of the map and explains a lot of weird little facts about the lore, easter eggs, and development of the games.

  • I think it’s kind of funny reddit is essentially hosting a billboard for the fediverse at the moment.

  • Playing the pixel remasters with auto battles inspired an oh yeah moment for me with regards to how cool gambits are.

  • I really like XVI, but could do with a different combat system. I’m really not great with super fast-paced, twitchy button mashers, so combat in XVI has been kind of frustrating for me. I might need to step back and revisit XII for a breather when I finish this game.

  • My guess would be to add shock value to the article, since pilots are traditionally held in high regard. It's subtly mentioned that she's a private pilot though, so probably just a citizen with a pilot's license anyway.

  • I was thinking about this as well. It's infuriating that such a tiny child is being forced to interact with monsters rather than being protected and sheltered from them.

  • The wife was the pilot. She and her husband abused the child.

  • Stop stealing my intellect!

  • I use Brave and Nord VPN. Am I going to die?

  • As if a person who can’t afford a normal TV can just buy all the things from all those ads that advertisers think they’re selling.

  • No need to be edgy. I’m just saying it’s wrong to say Sony doesn’t innovate.

FYI Microsoft has had an accessible controller for those with disabilities for years before Sony announced theirs.

Doesn’t matter, Sony has one as well and it’s not exactly a carbon copy or anything. What difference does it make?

The “retro games” you’re talking about are not the retro games that the other person is talking about. Retroarch is an emulator if you didn’t know. You can play basically any console up to the Dreamcast on an Xbox via retroarch. Can’t do that on a ps5.

That’s not innovation. Plus I can do it on my phone anyway?

Lol adaptive triggers. Touchpad? Games haven’t used that in any meaningful way since…… well ever, actually. Same with motion controls.

That’s an unfortunate opinion you have there. It’s still more innovative than the Xbox controller though. Astro Bot, PS5’s free demo game, offers a pretty compelling example of how the features of the dualsense are put to good use. Same with the Demon’s Souls remake. I doubt you’d even care to try, though. Touch pad is also great if you use a Sony controller with PC or android because it doubles as a trackpad.

The Xbox also has “instant loading” btw.

Good. I wasn’t aware of this.

Also lol at thinking the PS5 could play starfield in VR. Not a chance in hell.

I suppose you don’t exactly know the impact foveated rendering has in the VR space. Literally only the part you’re looking at gets fully rendered, while everything in the periphery gets blurred. This significantly increases the level of graphics that can be perceived in a headset. I have full confidence Starfield would be possible on a PS5 with foveated rendering.

  • Shortbus, maybe? The whole film is about becoming more sexually aware. No idea if it’s any good, though. My research into the matter was only so thorough...

  • Saying that Sony is sitting on their laurels and doing nothing for their platform but releasing new games is just patently false.

If I had the choice of streaming Starfield on my phone with a games pass subscription or playing it with adaptive triggers, touchpad and/or motion gestures, with instant loading, and possibly even full on VR support with eye tracked foveated rendering on PS5, I think it would be a stupid easy decision. Good thing for Microsoft I don’t get that choice and they don’t have to add new features to their hardware.

FYI, Sony also has retro games on their store and available via streaming, and a specialized controller for disabled persons as well. And no, a web browser on your games console is not “innovation”.

  • Comments like this kind of suck when you no longer have the kind of money to “just get a pc”.

  • I use Spotify simply because my FiL had an extra spot on the family plan. If that weren't the case, I'd probably be trying one of the Apple bundles. I'm actually quite happy with Spotify, but I'm curious what Apple Music's native integration would feel like.
