  • It's there in the backend, but it isn't showing up on lemmy-ui. Edit: It isn't set as the URL.

  • Can someone on lemmygrad post a reminder that many instances have defederated from you and can therefore not see your comments. I keep seeing you peeps replying to people that will never see your comments.

lemmy.world is one of them. Rottingleaf is not going to see your comment, it doesn't show up on lemmy.world

  • No. There are many of us that do that, I do, I found two random people online that did that and used their configs as a help when I was learning.

  • That's a nice comment. Too bad QuoVadisHomines will never see it since sh.itjust.works has defederated lemmygrad.

  • If you agree with either premise, then other conclusions necessarily follow

Nah, I'm in the middle, I'm not one of those, I agree with Dialectical and Historical Idealism. (/j)

Ok, the historical part is just basic liberalism, but I'm not sure about Dialectical Idealism.

  • Thirty-six years on, Beijing still has not disclosed the official death toll of the bloody crackdown on a pro-democracy gathering on June 4, when more than 1 million protesters were in the square.

Why are you lying ABC? Wikipedia lists the official death toll as 241.

  • The same resolution comes up for vote each year, since it was introduced back in 2013

  • The image contains the date "November 15, 2018", which doesn't match up with anything in the UN Digital Library about that resolution. But if I assume it is the 2018 vote, we should look at A/RES/73/157 voting data, which does seem to line up.

  • The first instance of this resolution is A/C.3/68/L.65 from November 2013.

  • It's been said before, but you can be "authoritarian" like the Soviets and give people healthcare, housing, food, etc. or you can be a good christian against "authoritarianism" and give people a military dictatorship.

  • I support the proletariat using authoritarian measures, for any time we don't our enemies laugh at us.

When General Krasnov organized his counter-revolutionary campaign against Leningrad and fell into our hands, we could at least have kept him prisoner, according to the rules of war. Indeed, we ought to have shot him. But we released him on his "word of honor." And what happened? It soon became clear that such mildness only helped to undermine the strength of the Soviet Government. We made a mistake in displaying such mildness towards enemies of the working class. To have persisted in that mistake would have been a crime against the working class and a betrayal of its interests. That soon became guile apparent. Very soon it became evident that the milder our attitude towards our enemies, the greater their resistance

    Someone, idk

  • Tankie is a term reserved for very specifically people who defend the Soviet Union in the Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia

Why Czechoslovakia? The term originally came from Hungary
