  • The association alone is damning

He just said he supports her. That's not an association. He agrees with her on her policy towards Israel. Unless you think her policy towards Israel is unreasonable and only would be held by a white supremacist, then its a ridiculous position to try and maintain, because it basically says that anyone who opposes us support of Israel agrees with David Duke and thus is "associated" with him.

  • It’s stupid if you ignore the context of why people would have a problem with it, Taco.

I'm not ignoring any context. It was a picture provided with no context.

The context you've now provided "There is no good reason for her to be having dinner with Vladimir Putin," is stated as if it is a priori, but it's not.

And that seems to be your whole point: it's damning because she shouldn't have been there, because I say it's damning that she is there. It's circular. The reality is that because you can't explain it, it's suspicious, not damning. And I agree with that. It should raise suspicions. You're confusing your suspicion with knowing something.

You still haven’t explained why it’s okay for Stein to be having dinner with Michael Flynn and Vladimir Putin.

That's not how it works. You're the one claiming something nefarious. I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm saying the evidence provided of your claim is "r/conspiracy levels of stupid" as it's one of their favorite pieces of non-evidence.

  • While I absolutely agree, I find the "average poster" here to be at least as gullible as the average redditor. But not quite as bad as the "average /r/conspiracy" poster, but getting pretty close. My experience seems to be the more adamant people are about their beliefs, the more open they are to confirmation bias.

  • There is nothing about "the dead cat bounce" that requires it to going to zero, only that it be a long term falling pattern with a brief uptick at some point. . . which we're arguably seeing today.

However, the real problem is not so much the Y axis, as this is extremely typical of ticker views, but the X axis, as this is "downward trend" is being viewed over just one day. It hides the fact that the stock is up 50% in in the last month. I doubt Trump is sweating this drop too much.

We're once again seeing how easily manipulated lemmy users are, and how little they actually look into anything themselves, or how quickly the rush to conclusions about things they don't understand.

  • This is such a lazy, circle jerk answer. And also patently wrong because both parties have wealthy interests, and one would love to get rid of the EC because it would give them more power.

The answer is much more obvious: it would require a constitutional amendment which would require a bunch of states and representatives voting to dilute their power and the power of the people they represent when it comes to choosing the POTUS.

  • I am really curious why being a kemonomimi is a mental illness.

Because you're not kemonomimi, you're a human, they are fictional. If you were just dressing up as one for fun, or it was a kink, that would be one thing.

But this appears to be much more, you believe you are one and/or are trying to live your life as one. This is not healthy.

  • You seem to recognize, in the post and some of your replies, that this is the result of trauma. It's not some healthy part of who you are, it's an unhealthy trauma response.

I don't think there is anything inherently wrong with what you're doing, but the reason why people don't take to it well is because you're exhibiting a mental illness.

You need psychological help more than you need to worry about people accepting this.

  • What do you want me to say?

What I would love is for people to read the article and then objectively think about it for a second, rather than just knee-jerk respond to the headline in a way that confirms what they already believe to be true, seemingly regardless of what is actually happening.

All I did was correct the misinformation you were spreading. There are plenty of valid reason to criticize the Biden admin over, no need to make ones up.

  • I was responding to someone who claimed that by sending tools to stop weapons from killing people, Biden is violating his call for a ceasefire.

You can disagree with this, but claiming it's aggressive is just blatantly false.
