Try to use as little as possible, just a drop to start with and you can always add another later if you need. It's a pain in the bum to remove if you use too much.
Cheap super glue from coles/woolies will do. It's about $3 for a twin pack. You'll only need a drop, so line up all the little repair jobs you can find before the tube dries out.
I was just going along for the ride in all honesty. I don't do well at the dentist and just agreed to anything to stop the pain! My root canal is scheduled to start early Feb, it's my first too and I'm quietly shitting myself.
I've got a very ugly metal band around my temp filling. It cost me an extra $100 at the time but seeing as my dentist is away till the end of January we wanted no potential breakage. I'm now glad he did that!
