I appreciate the breakdown, but I meant i was ignorant on why port forwarding was important for a VPN :) Was still a great write up that should be used as reference for others! :D

I didnt realize you still had to port forward to get around ISP traffick shaping/blockage with a VPN. Thought the encrypted tunnel between you and the VPN disguised that, and any port stuff was done at their end, after exiting the tunnel.

Yeah, but its linux version was absolute unstable dogshit that was plagued with bugs.

Meanwhile, the windows version via proton ran 3x faster, and almost crash free (and i say almost because once you get to a certain point in modding there will always be crashes)

I'll take a windows version via proton any day of the week, if Cities:Skylines linux version is my alternative.

Whats so important about port forwarding on a VPN? Genuinely ignorant here.

Can understand why they want to seat 4 at a table instead of one..however its really stupid to turn your locals, that you depend on 80% of the year, against you, to maximize money from tourists who are there only briefly.

Which is exactly what they are doing, cause those turned away solo diners? They'll tell their friends. and a lot of them wont go to those restaurants anymore, solo or in groups.

Bet that tourist money wont be enough to carry them through the year till next tourist season, bet a lot of restaurants that do this close.

Any simple device, that should just work by plugging it into your computer, that instead demands an internet connection between you and the device.. is 100% a device thats designed to steal your information/habits/etc.

because there is no reason to have the expenditure and costs of running a webservice otherwise.

Not everyone can eat them though, for whatever reason it can cause extreme abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea/vomiting, and more in some people.

I know, because I'm one of those people. Took 3 impossible burgers before I noticed the pattern and looked into it.

Often times its just panko. Gets an extra burger or two out of the meat, and no one has ever noticed the difference. Still fantastic, juicy hamburgers.
