  • Because it's relevant to the region you're looking at and I'm pretty sure the UK hasn't taken a firm/legal stance either way. Also not sure how your comment is supposed to relate to my point? Mexico doesn't have any more right to tell other countries what to call the Gulf than the US or any other country that's totally outside of any sane jurisdiction

  • Everything was highly inflated due to multiple years of >7% inflation. Egg prices are exceptionally for the additional reasons you gave but everything is exceptionally expensive still, not just eggs. They're not stupid for thinking things are inflated (because they are) which sounds like the point you're trying to make. They are stupid for not understanding the nuances of why everything is inflated. But give me a voting population that does. 2024 was a devastating year for all incumbent parties globally because everyone is feeling the pain of COVID and corporate greed

  • There’s no such thing as bad publicity; if there was, Tesla’s owner wouldn’t have been able to throw up two nazi salutes at the inauguration and then be given access to all of the American people’s personal data.

Look at Tesla stock it's literally dropped >20% since he did that. You're literally giving an example of how it does. "No such thing as bad publicity" is not a real thing. The Hindenburg didn't help the zeppelin industry.

  • It does hurt Tesla. People don't want to buy a car likely to get vandalized. One incident won't make a noticeable difference, but if people think it's okay to vandalize them it absolutely would hurt sales regardless of your opinion of the morality of it

  • JD Vance and Trump are doing a power grab to ignore checks and balances that are very basic elementary school level things that their supporters are going to suddenly pretend aren't a thing

  • I would say the South's reactions to critical race theory and it's own history is verging on information suppression. Still not as bad as explicit as the eula from a Chinese based company though.

  • Its a long list of atrocities and only so much that can fit into a curriculum. Also wildly different standards school to school. My public school in the North East was pretty good about it
