  • There is an open bracket (where anyone can play) and a womens bracket, currently women do not perform well enough to play internationally in the open bracket. What they are stating are merely facts. And really were it not for the existence of the womens bracket it is possible that women would perform even worse.

  • Are there prebuilt desktop PCs that aren’t? I have personally yet to see one, even though I build my own. Maybe some small form-factor office rigs would be a hassle, but those are not really marketed to usecases where upgrading makes much sense anyway,

  • I can’t sell you something I haven’t used, even the components (distrobox and waydroid) I have not tried since I have personally no usecase for them. I mentioned BlendOS purely because from my passing look at it the android app support stuck in my memory.

The beautiful thing with linux is, you could just burn the live USB and boot the live environment to test it out for yourself, without practically any hassle or run it in VirtualBox.

As I gather you run Endeavour but then complain about the hassle of doing things in Linux. Endeavour is basically arch with a GUI installer + some extra tidbits, realistically it is as close to being arch as you can be without actually calling it arch. Arch is not a system for people who like things to just work withou “hackerma solutions”. Just look at Arch Wiki FAQ , specifically sections 1.2 and 1.6. If you want something simpler, perhaps try another distro.

  • I have not tried it but BlendOS claims native apk support iirc.

E: Ok, perhaps native is incorrect terminology, I just checked it and it seems to use WayDroid which was already mentioned in the thread. They ship with Aurora store and F-Droid, you can probably make those work on your distro too.

  • Idk if the price is that ridiculous, the family plan costs me 16 bucks and I have YT premium for my household+. I also have YouTube music from that as well, I find it better than spotify for my use and I dont have to put up additional cost for music streaming elsewhere. There was also youtube premium content (Youtube Red?) if that is still a thing, I remember the Vsauce series being available because of this.

Youtube having no costs is a hot take if ive ever seen one, but I dont think I can say anything about this that hasnt been said.

  • #2 is decent TBH (or killswitch or pedal lock), yes they can be circumvented, but they are deterrent enough usually, since most thefts these days are sit and go, especially with the advent of keyless cars.

  • I had no problems on Nobara, also running wayland and have no problems on arch.

For nvidia i have nvidia, nvidia-utils and nvidia-settings packages, DRM KMS and nvidia “experimental” settings for suspend, hibernate and preserve memory enabled.

    For KDE i have plasma-meta and plasma-wayland-session.

HW is Two mixed refreshrate monitors (144 and 60Hz) on 1080p, GTX1660 and ryzen 5 3600.
