  • For anyone reading along: That's called hexchat these days.

  • I honestly find adult Anakin to be way more annoying.

  • The court has a bend in it, and I'm pretty sure it's too narrow too. Still, would make for a perfectly cromulent game of ball.

  • A couple people have said this now, but can you link some examples? I've been watching the channel for a while and don't recall things like that, but it could just be that I was watching with rose colored glasses.

  • Rico

    Jump
  • Except for comedic purposes. Sometimes a bleep just sounds more vulgar than the swear word it's hiding.

  • I think you've answered your own question.

  • Surely it could just wait with signaling the end of the program until the water has drained?

  • My mom about 5 minutes after taking the first morphine pill: "Hmm, I wonder when I'm allowed to take the next one [checks clock]"

    Shit's evil.

  • You can fit in way smaller spaces when backing in. Once you get the knack for it it's not really harder than going in forwards either.

protip: look in your side mirrors and pretend it's a video screen. if you want to go left steer left, if you want to go right steer right. Don't even start thinking about "It's on the left in the mirror so on the right in real life, but it's backwards so..." or you'll have a bad time.

  • Thank god not everyone does this or you'd see millions of them everywhere. There's definitely the odd deranged dog owner who thinks it a good idea to -- instead of cleaning up the dog shit -- package it such that it does not ever decay.

I've got a tendency to pick these up and throw them out because otherwise I'll be looking at them for months.

  • That hella depends on the kind of tree. Just had a 9 meter hazelnut tree in my back yard cut down to about one meter. Not a leaf left on the thing. Couple months later and it's already back to two meters with a lot of leaves on it. it's expected to be back to about 6 meters next year.

Try that with e.g. an oak though and it'll not go as well.

  • A dutch bicycle. Made from steel, with a kickstand, a chainguard a dynamo and internal gear. Built to last.

If you want to spend slightly more, go for one with a hub dynamo. Those have way less resistance, and don't have a tendency to stop working in snowy weather.

  • COCA COLA ESPUMA

  • this sort of really briefly works if the observer is nearer the new location. Light from the new location reaches the observer before the lack-of-light reached the observer from the old location.

still would only work for the tiniest amount of time and confuse no-one, but then this isn't hard sci-fi.

  • I'm still on the original google pixel, and I am dreading the day I'm forced to upgrade. It has the backside fingerprint sensor, and is in general pretty much the platonic ideal of a smartphone.

  • I feel like I have to point out that Xorg is neither unmaintained nor deprecated. It is old as tits though.

  • you will end up bringing down production or make a however many tens of thousands of dollar mistake. Don't worry about it too much when it happens. That sort of thing doesn't usually get you fired the first time.

  • It's great for keeping rust off tools. Just the slightest whiff of vaseline will keep rust away for years. I tend to use a spray can of vaseline for that though, not a tub.
