  • I think that's generally true. As with most brain things, autism is mostly just normal things except amplified to the point where it's a problemtm. It's why there's so many "sensory" toys out there as well. Fidget cubes mostly started as an ADHD thing and now everyone has em.

  • Pressure can be soothing to some autistic people. It's where the whole weighted blanket thing originated too.

  • You’re either being intentionally obtuse or disingenuous.

Or I'm simply disagreeing with you. I'm not disagreeing to disagree, I just simply am not convinced by your arguments.

you wouldn’t count people who bought that refrigerator as Linux users, would you?

    No, I would not.

If they’re not exposed to any operational functions of the OS, then counting them as users of the OS is dishonest.

Right, but the steam deck exposes all that perfectly fine, a lot of uses simply choose not to engage with that. Someone using debian but then only touching the web browser still counts as them using linux surely.

  • I mean his nose is perfectly accessible so it only makes sense to.

  • I used to play with a metal bodied pen at my desk, and you could totally shock yourself by touching it to your chin while aimed at the CRT.

  • Measuring by units would be WAY more skewed. The top 10 would all be free items, or if you exclude those $0.01 items. Measuring gross revenue is much harder to game unless you count "actually selling $500 hardware a lot" as cheating somehow.

  • But that's true for anything. you could swap out the OS under gnome and most users wouldn't notice either.

  • I'd probably call Big Picture the Desktop environment in this case. Yes it's a simplified linux experience, but it's not not linux.

  • That seems easy enough to make. Weave some metal thread into the paper or some such and you'll jam most shredders handily.

  • They’re using a curated overlay for Linux

This is commonly known as a "distro". SteamOS is just particularly good at being user friendly for it's fairly narrow use-case.

  • The doctor being so upset about it makes it all the funnier.

  • The exodus still occurred and it totally worked out in Admin’s favor.

That's a shame. It'd be a perfect time for a strike. Worst case you get fired, best case you get your bonuses.

  • Sexy and lesbian. "gay coded villains" are a whole thing.

  • Kong makes this like... meat flavored whip cream? That stuff is particularly sticky. My dog usually does the spit-the-pill-back-out thing unless I use that goop. Careful though because if you spill it on anything it WILL get chewed on.

  • I feel like TOS was a LOT more subtle about it. So many scenes where you've got Kirk holding a lady, fade to black, fade to a sunrise or some shit.

  • Pretty close! as I recall it's some honor based thing? the story isn't... very good. iirc the main king guy wanted to bone the star trek lady that's fighting in that clip, which upset his favorite wife, so the wife challenged the star trek lady to combat to the death. Why said combat takes place in a jungle gym is anyones guess.

  • so basically 2m tall. that's not even all that absurd. He's only got 15 cm on me.

  • Either that or have hinted at force powers earlier in the movie at least.

  • There's no such thing as dying of old age. Just dying of something where you're old enough where people go "yeah that tracks" instead of "oh no! so young!".

  • I always figured it'd make sense for the captains to be somewhat bigger than life IRL, so the choice of actors who can act big makes sense.
