  • Canadian governments of various stripes have tried to shield the country’s milk, cheese and egg sectors from international competition>

Then maybe the cheese should taste better. I emigrated 20 yrs ago. Even fancy Canadian cheeses taste like Cheeze Whiz to my palatte. UK cheese tastes like dairy, not liquid fat. Hopefully the Irish will step up where they're needed most now! 😁🇮🇪🇨🇦

  • Owen's Theme from Torchwood. Not an amazing show, but the music was written and composed by Ben Foster & Murray Gold who brought us all the haunting music from the new Dr. Who series. The descending pattern, combined with Owen's own tragic story is one of the most indulgent depressing songs I've ever heard.

  • Yeah the way I see it is that even Douglas himself didn't quite have a single vision in his mind about the story, which is why there are so many iterations (radio, book, movie, tv series, musical? Am I forgetting anything?)

  • You'd think of all people that Doug Ford's family would be impacted by significant health issues. That maybe there'd be some empathy for those who aren't as well off as his family. But no.

I will continue to vote for the betterment of this country, which I don't believe is solely derived from the financial prosperity of its people. Everyone in Ontario deserves to have reasonable health care access, and considering how spread out the population is, we need a system which is designed to accomodate that. Ugh. Just fuck the conservatives. They should try planting the trees our children will play under instead of installing more Impark lots.

  • Thanks for the warm welcome smorks! Also here from reddit, and I can already tell that this is the online community I've been yearning for. People connecting with each other, engaging in discussion. There's a lot of good things that came from reddit over the years, but as I've read so many times in various relationship subreddits "When people show you who they are, believe them the first time" (sorry Maya Angelou).

Spez showed us what he really thinks of his userbase, and I'm proud to add reddit to the list of corporations I won't use because they're dicks.

    Ahem.

Really glad to see a strong Canadian contingent here. May your timmies be hot and your beer cold 😁
