While I was reading this comment, I thought it was a sarcastic parody of a promotion for the software...

Then as I kept reading I realised that the lines in italics are not parody, but actually from the company.

No, hair dryer works by taking ambient air and heating it before blowing it out. Besides, definitely don't want to heat up the phone. The aircon dries the air itself as part of the cooling. When using your windscreen vents you don't have to set the temperature to hot to clear the windscreen as long as that aircon compressor is running. People just do because when you need to defog your windscreen it's usually cold as fuck outside...

To dry the phone, set vent to windscreen, temperature to cold, and make sure the aircon indicator on. Cold, dry air.

I found if the car is nearby, place the wet phone over the windscreen de-mister vent and then run the aircon through that vent. Doesn't have to be hot air to dry it as long as the compressor for the aircon is running... Aircon dries out the air before blowing it through the cabin so you will have bone dry air circulating around the phone pulling the moisture out by evaporation. About 10 mins is plenty. Best done idling in the shade. Don't want to sun damage the phone while trying dry it out...

How do you force Smarttube as default? I uninstalled the default YouTube app, but if the device suggests a YouTube video and I click on it, it tries to install YouTube instead of opening it in Smarttube.

If you don't want to write out a lot of instructions but have a link to someone else's instructions, please feel free to do that...

That is the entire point of those clone sites. To trap people like OP who make an honest mistake. Some people who don't know anything about torrenting, but "heard about it from a friend" and then trying to remember what it was called. Or people with minor dyslexia. Also, resolved my volume problem. Had the Chromecast set to CEC mode instead of device volume.

Cool. It's been about a year since I tried it so I'll have another whack at it tomorrow. That will be so awesome. My Chromecast will be complete. Smart tube on one button and either Stremio or HDOBox on the other...

Just tested it out and still get the runaway volume. Did some testing and it seems to happen with some other services activated so a Chromecast problem not a Remapper problem... I'll play again tomorrow...

Has Remapper been updated to fix the volume control glitch? Last time I used Remapper the volume would be uncontrollable. Without it, pressing the volume up key would only go up 2-3 units on my tv. If I used the volume up button with Remapper running it would scroll all the way up to max volume with a single press...
