  • I gotta say, it feels like a breach of journalistic ethics bordering on criminal negligence for this article to state that

In 2018, one year after the former U.S. attorney for the Southern District of Florida, Alexander Acosta, was appointed as Trump’s Secretary of Labor, The Miami Herald began publishing a sweeping series of investigations alleging that Acosta had engineered an unprecedented and illegal plea deal for Epstein, using emails between Acosta and Epstein’s attorneys to detail how a confoundingly light sentence came to pass. The deal, which Epstein took, allowed him to plead to state charges of soliciting and procuring a minor and paved the way for him to serve time through a work release program, thus evading a potential life sentence and federal charges. He also secured a non-prosecution agreement which barred Epstein’s victims from bringing claims against him while simultaneously shielding his co-conspirators from prosecution.

And somehow fail to mention the name of the Florida state attorney general at the time, because it seems somewhat relevant.

    It was Pam Bondi.

  • Stories like this just reinforce my belief that AI will destroy us all. Not with a cool robot uprising like Terminator or Blade Runner, or even enslavement of humanity like the Matrix or Wall-E. We get the stupid future, where civilization ends when a Reddit shitposter creates a Trump-flavored chatbot and convinces the joint chiefs that they need to send him the nuclear codes via Signal because you can’t text on the red phone.

  • He’s stupid, yes, but he surrounds himself with people who are also greedy and malicious. This is just straight-up market manipulation.

After Trump announced plans to levy tariffs on the metal, copper futures jumped as much as 17 percent, Bloomberg reported.

The play is simply to buy a bunch of futures contracts beforehand, wait for the announcement and the resulting price spike, and sell immediately for a tidy 17% gain, or hold til just before he announces yet another “extension”. How many times has this happened so far this year? It’s so tiresome.

  • Many people are saying that we need more space. More living space, it’s a huge problem. We’ve been treated so badly being stuck in the room we’ve got and so I said to now former governor of Canada because he resigned in disgrace, Justin (I call him Justin), Justin we need more living space, you’re going to be the 51st state you know. You know they used to have a word for it, they called it lebensraum, did you ever hear of that? Most people don’t know that but they used to be very big into that and then the radical left made it a bad word to say. But I think we need to bring it back.
